About 6 blocks from the beginning of "true" downtown, this is a good option for a stay in St John's. Nothing special, but good beds, so it does the job. Exceptionally helpful staff. However, terrible Smittys attached to it is awful for breakfast. Go to Bagel Cafe about 4 blocks down Duckworth instead. More

I stayed here with my mother in April 2012. We are both originally from St. John's, but currently living in other places, and we had to come home on short notice for a family emergency. The desk staff were aware of the circumstances of our stay and they were absolutely amazing. They were all so friendly and helpful, and showed... More

This hotel has the best downtown location of all the downtown hotels in st. john's. It is within walking distance of Mile One Centre, George Street, and all the downtown shops. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The hotel is very clean & comfortable, and the hotel restaurant has great food, with an even better view of the water... More

Great hotel and located centrally to all you want to see. Super clean, and newly built a new years ago. Complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby all the time. Free parking. Nice on site restaurant, and gym in the basement. Coin laundry also if you need one. We enjoyed this hotel, and would stay again! More

Check in this time was very easy, the front desk staff were very knowledgeable. Room was very clean and comfortable. The Smittys restaruant also improved in service from my last visit, happy to see there was a change here. More

Everything you come to expect from both Newfoundland and Courtyard. Clean and new. Great service in the bar. Expensive for rooms but typical for St. John's. I will be back for sure. More

2Queen beds were comfortable, fridge in room, free coffee and tea available in lobby, warm cookies a nice idea. Very Friendly and helpful staff. Having Smitty's Restaurant just off the lobby was wonderful on a stormy day. More

I was in town for business for a week and stayed at the waterfront Marriot. It was very comfortable and met or exceeded my expectations. I was given a waterview room which provided an excellent view of the busy harbour. The room was just fine, the beds were comfortable, the workspace was suitable, the bathroom had everything you need, and... More

We spent 5 days at this Marriott in St. John's, and all our needs were met. As stated in the title, it was a more basic hotel than we normally stay at, but they make up for that in other areas. The staff are incredible. Very friendly service that speaks volumes about the people of St. John's. We really enjoyed... More

Our recent stay at the Courtyard didn't disappoint. We were warmly greeted at reception and within minutes had settled into our Harbour View room. Although small it was clean, comfortable and had a wonderful view of St. John's Harbour. Our only disappointment was the mattress wasn't of the same high quality we had experienced at other Courtyards and the sitting... More
