Thsi old residence is in an old working class neighborhood that appears to be undergoing a restoration and gentrafication. The residential areas have sort of a gritty charm of a better time long past. The location is very good. You park your car in the street near the hotel. Seemed very safe. You can walk easily to most that the...

On one hand, this place isn't bad. The rooms are reasonably clean, the location isn't great but it isn't bad and breakfast was okay. But on the other hand, the hospitality you receive counters all the positives. I think the owner has the best of intentions but his brusque manner is a problem - at least it was to the...

We found our room to be large and very clean. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was just what was promised and was very fresh and enjoyable. The location was ideal, a very short walk to downtown. We would certainly recommend this B & B to our friends. We have stayed in quite a few B &...

The location was my first priority and it certainly met that need.
The "inn keeper " was very friendly, helpful and knowledgable of Saint John and nearby places of interest. He also served a delicious breakfast. I enjoyed being in Saint John so much that I stayed an extra day.

No hospitality - much more like a poorly run hostel.
Breakfast was some sort of orange colored liquid with slices of supermarket cake, a bowl of fruit, boiled eggs, slice of ham... our kids are both vegetarians...

We picked this B $ B on the strength of its supposed 4 star rating. We were given a room in the "carriage house" out back. It reeked of smoke but it was the only room left and our friends were already staying in the main house so we stayed. Big mistake. When we complained about the tobacco smell permeating...

We called from the tourist bureau and because it had 4 stars in the book we thought it would be ok. This is the first time the star ratings have ever let us down. They really need to have a second look at this one. The smell was the first thing that hit us, I'm not sure what they clean...

I just got back home from a 32-day roadtrip during which I stayed at 8 different b&b and i must say that the Earle of Leinster was the worse. I've seen 2 star hotels in remote places that had better service and similar furniture. From the reservation to the departure that experience was terrible. Let me break this down :...

Never ever would i send a friend or ememy to this place. The location was in a shady for of town the the locals wouldn't even visit.
The place smells like a musty old grandma's house. The bedding was probablly 100 years old and the service was very very poor.
