I'm not a complainer but this is definitely an exception! When I arrived to check in, I had to wait almost 25 minutes and there were only 2 people in front of me. Staff was extremely rude and unaccomodating. You have to put 30.00$ down for every key to your room. I do not reccommend this place. It is also in a very shabby, rough, part of downtown Winnipeg. More

Considering the price, I found the Thriftlodge to be very clean, and the staff friendly. At $50 or less per night for double occupancy, you certainly can't expect the Ritz or any such thing. It's a good hotel, if you're on a budget. More
