Although the hotel could use a remodel or at least facelift, it is a good bargain in terms of location, staff, cleanliness and other traveler needs. It provides a complimentary breakfast with several selections and airport shuttle. more

I stayed at this hotel during the summer, travelling with family. The location of the hotel was excellent; it was situated near the downtown core, making it very convenient. The hotel itself had lots of character. Our room was very nice and big and it was clean and decent. You get what you pay for, that's all I have to... more

Despite the negative reviews I decided to stay here because the pics looked really nice. But beware that they are deceiving!!! I'm unsure of the smoking laws in Manitoba but in Ontario you are not allowed to smoke a certain distance from the entrance to a building. At the Marlborough Inn there is ALWAYS a crowd of 'intimidating' people outside... more

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your concerns about your recent stay with us, and thank you sincerely for choosing The Marlborough for your visit to Winnipeg. We sincerely regret your concerns about smoking outside the hotel. In Manitoba, smoking indoors is prohibited except in designated smoking guestrooms, an option we continue to offer in 23...

I've stayed at many hotels within Winnipeg. I've even stayed at a few of the "zero star" hotels on main street just for the experience. In all honesty, staying in those hotels was more enjoyable that what my wife and I had to endure while staying at the Marlborough Hotel recently. I did read the reviews on this website before... more

I was pleasantly surprised with our recent stay at the Marlborough Hotel. Most of the reviews I read were negative. The architecture is amazing - both in and outside. Most chain hotesl/motels are box like and lack an identity or charm. The Marl. is unique and a great value for downtown Winnipeg. We attended a concert at the MTS center... more

My friends and I recently stayed in Winnipeg for a concert. Due to the location of the hotel we decided to book a room at the Malborough. I had read reviews about the hotel (some good and some bad) and decided to give it a chance. The outside of the hotel was full of character, and the lobby was nicely... more

I've stayed in the Marlborough a number of times over last few years. I like it for what it is - a period piece that was a grand hotel in it's day that retains some of it's best features while still keeping up with the times. I watch with great interest to see how it continues to evolve over time.... more

My sister-in-law, niece and I stayed here for the weekend when we visited Winnipeg for a concert. The building itself was quite outstanding. Great architecture on the outside and brilliant character in the lobby. It's also very close to the theatre and downtown amenities. However, that's about all that's 'good' about this hotel. The clientèle definitely left alot to be... more

We always stayed at the Marlborough, practically every month. I have stayed there for business and leisure alone, with my spouse and children and twice even when I was in Wpg to have my babys. I'm sorry to say I no longer stay there. It's sad how things have fallen apart when I stayed there to have my babys even... more

The best and friendliest service that I've ever received in any hotel I've stayed worldwide but the hotel itself is old and dank. Restaurant offers a first-rate buffet lunch. The best room rate in Winnipeg and a great location makes the Marlborough a great choice if you aren't fussy. more
