Somebody rich...please buy this property, fix up all the cosmetic issues, purchase some new, clean beds and furniture, gut the lobby and hire some decent staff and you would have a perfectly located hotel! I could watch my teens walk over to MTS for a concert which was great! But the room smelled funny, the halls were scary and the... more

Winnipeg, right in the middle of Canada and on the edge of the Prairie, is allegedly not without its charms, yet it can scarcely be considered a tourist magnet. The winter is lethal. Summers are hot and humid and spring and fall, the most agreeable seasons, tend to be short lived. You need a very compelling reason to visit the... more

We stayed one night on August 17th. All in all not a great hotel but not horribly bad. It was what we needed....a place to stay after a concert at the MTS Center, 1 block away. So for us the location was great. Our AC worked no major complaints with the room. We weren't expecting much so maybe that is... more

This hotel is in a great location for anyone wanting to be downtown. It is a short walk to the convention center but.... The lobby and hallways are filthy, there are questionable people hanging out there at all hours and it is very noisy. Although it is cheap stay somewhere else. more

Location and price couldn't be beat. The room was clean and the bathroom, while needing updating, wasn't gross. The lobby and halls definitely need updating, making the hotel look a lot seedier than the rooms really are. Staff was accommodating. I would not hesitate to stay here again. more

We picked this hotel because it was the cheapest well-advertised hotel in the city of Winnipeg, and besides, it was across from the Delta Winnipeg, a prohibitively expensive hotel where we were attending an event. When we arrived, our first impression was that the place was quite dirty. The lobby had a slight cigarette odor (we are non-smokers), and the... more

This was a comfortable hotel although the hallways seemed a little dark & dreary. I agree with the comments about the bums lurking nearby though I found that to be true all over Winnipeg (even near the nicer hotels). I walked the 10-15 mins. to & from the Greyhound station. There's a nice mall 2 or 3 blocks away as... more

Went to the Nickleback concert at the MTS Centre (2minute walk). Great Concert. As for the Carlton Inn, Printed off a coupon for $65.00 from their website, I did not think they would accept it as a concert was in town, but they did. Staff very helpul, rooms are smaller but hey for $65.00 who is going to complain. Hotel... more

We have stayed many times at the Carlton. They are clean and reliable and downtown. Ask for the internet rate...you should get under $50. Recommend it. more
