I've dreamed of seeing the aurora borealis since I was a kid, but have only seriously worked at putting together an "aurora safari" in the last few years owing to...well, life in general. The Solar Maximum of 2012/2013 really got us going in earnest, as it's been stimulating fabulous aurora displays (at least according to they who've been lucky enough... More

I came back to this hotel again, after having had a very pleasant stay here during the Christmas 2010 holidays. This is a "all-suite" hotel - all the rooms are two-level suites, with a kitchen, living room, and a very large bedroom and bathroom upstairs, overlooking the lower level. I believe that the building was originally built to be one... More

We stayed at the Aurora Inn for one night before heading further north. It was perfect for a one night stay. We had our 6 year old daughter with us. Plenty of room for us all to sleep, with the rooms being split over two levels. Decor is much like the rest of Churchill - frozen in it's own charming... More

Rooms are suites. Split level with 'mezzanine' bedroom was nice to have. Very spacious with tall ceilings. Little kitchenette adequate. Warm and toasty in the cold weather!

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights as part of a Globus/Frountiers North tour in October 2011. This hotel is comprised of old apartments. Each room has two stories. Downstairs is a full kitchen and living room with a complete with pull out sofa bed. Upstairs is a loft area where the bed is located and the bathroom.... More

I spent one night in the Aurora Inn. The room was huge and clean! They are more like condos or apartments. I had a very good sleep. The girl at the front desk was really friendly.

Lots of room, daily housekeeping, kitchenette, double bed, decent size washroom, basic cable, flat screen tv, I'm not sure what more one could ask for. One thing I did happen is the front door didn't close properly, and had it been a normal Churchill winter, that would of a problem. Other then that, I can't complain.

I arrived here Boxing Day evening (just transiting the town for one night). Every store and restaurant in town was closed. The owner went out of his way to get us some food, both from the staff lunchroom and (I suspect) from his own home. The hotel itself is quite nice (in the context of what can reasonably be expected... More

I was part of a tour group and this hotel was chosen for me. In general I thought it was very mediocre and in desperate need of updating. Pros: -spacious -good TV set -nice fridge, toaster, dishes & cutlery -free internet Cons: -not very quiet -cold showers -skimpy towels -flat pillows -needs renovations -limited TV programming

For our three nights in Churchill, the Aurora Inn served as our home away from home. Admittedly, I was a bit curious about the condition of a motel property that is so far from the rest of civilization, and in a town without a lot of options. I was pleasantly surprised as the comfort and amenities provided the guests. Churchill... More
