We book out the lodge out annually for 2 weeks in March to take our key dealers & media into the backcountry for our Arc'teryx R&D camp. We mainly go back country ski touring and take our own guides, but there is excellent X-country skiing & snow shoeing to be had as well. We have been going for for the... More

This was our third visit to Callaghan Lodge and as always - fabulous. Evan & Kristy, the hosts are wonderful and the food is gourmet and lots of it, which is great after working up a big appetite during the ski in. The addition of the new finnish sauna is wonderful, especially with steps carved out of the snow down... More

This is a great experience if you love mountains and silence more than shops and bars. The ski in is a slog, particularly the first 3 km which are the steepest and the last 2 km which feel like 5. I'm 65, I x-c ski for 2-3 hours nearly every week and it took me 4 hours of ski time... More

Seven of us spent one night in the Lodge to celebrate my wife's birthday in February 2012. There was something to do for everyone including snowshoeing, cross country skiing on the groomed trails near the lodge and backcountry skiing for my son and I. Great food, wonderful surroundings & staff who went out of there way combined to make it... More

We spent one night at the Callaghan Lodge in February 2012. There were six of us in our group - four cross-country skied in and the other two skate-skied in. The trails were well groomed but it was a tough 13.5 slog to get to the lodge - 1450' elevation gain, so mostly all uphill. I hadn't x-country skied in... More

Skied up to Back Country Callaghan Lodge last week for 2 days of incredible fun. Our daughter joined us before she was off to explore the world. Conditions were fantastic, cold nights, loads of fluffy snow and well tracked trails for both classic and skate skiing. We loved the new surprise of a creek side wood fired Sauna. And were... More

We had a great two-night stay here. My wife and I like backpacking trips and nice hotel stays, and this was sort of the best of both worlds. The ski in is a little arduous (mostly uphill) but worth it when you arrive at the lodge. Service was great. We did a 5-km loop in the valley behind the lodge... More

Amazing 14 km. trip into the back country with a full amenities lodge at the end of the journey. Hard to believe that after travelling for hours there is lodge of this caliper literally in the middle of nowhere! All the staff are very friedly and willing to accomadate. The scenery is fantastic and even in mid April there was... More

Made the 13.8 km ski trek up to the Callaghan Lodge on a weekend and explored the well groomed trail system in the area. The scenery along the way was as breathtaking as was the uphill climb for a "Manitoba flatlander" like myself! The Lodge itself is majestic with all the comforts yet, fits the mountain scenery without being intrusive.... More
