I stayed at the Sandman Hotel Vancouver City Center for two nights in mid January 2012. I removed all my belongings from my car and stored the GPS in the glovebox before parking my car in the underground paid parking lot with security and limited entry. When I checked out of the hotel and got to my car, I found... More

The hotel staff, room, check in and check out, and pool area were just fine. There were a few inconveniences such as fuzzy cable, no "do not disturb" door hanger, slow elevators and dirty windows. For the money, it was a perfectly fine hotel with a great location, and the water pressure in the shower was great. The Shark Club... More

It was first time for me to stay this hotel as I always stay at YWCA next door to this hotel. Well, I don’t know if I chose this hotel next time… < Advantage > Good location to Skytrain station (China Town/Stadium) and also very close to city center (a few blocks away). Nice room (seems renovation was done not... More

After my Review posted August 2011 of our visit in May, we revisited this hotel and again had a very comfortable stay for several nights in a back room high in the south tower (recommended) which by all accounts has better lifts (elevators) serving fewer rooms. We are from England and we book ahead with the best-known Canadian-owned tour operator... More

The hotel it self was great, really nice clean rooms but the front desk staff were really rude and never had the time of day not all the staff I did see some nice ones but the two that I dealt with were very rude and couldn't careless about customer service, I would even be walking past to go outside... The Sandman hotel is getting on a bit, late 70's design that needs some new paint here and there. But a good location next to stadium, near Chinatown and go for a good breakfast to Medina Cafe on Beatty Street nearby (see separate review). Efficient hotel with parking and no frills service. Two good bars. It works, value for money. More

Stayed here as part of a Contiki tour, and was very impressed with the hotel. We stayed here at the start and end of our tour so both stays were great. The location is excellent, the staff were fantastic and the hotel is really nice, rooms and lobby. The only downside was the elevators took forever and especially when you... More

I stayed at the Sandman City Centre for approxiamately 50 days in October and November and the stay was very comfortable. The staff treats you very well and responds quickly to any needs. The restaurant and bar staff are personable, efficient and friendly. The close proximity to all downtown areas make this a great hotel location. I would certainly come... More

This hotel covered all the basics and was in a great location for getting out and about from. Staff were very helpful and even upgraded our room when they found out we were on our honeymoon. The restaurant/bar down stairs provided delicious meals. Rooms were clean with basic amenities and were tidied every day & it was quiet even with... More

For less than $100, we got a hotel that is the closest hotel to Rogers Arena for a hockey game. This place caters to that crowd. Check in was easy, parking is located underground in a secured parking garage via room key, and access to the rooms also via room key in the elevators, so you definitely feel secure. The... More
