Large room with all required furnishings for a long term stay. Staff friendly throughout stay and even welcomed me personally by name days after check in. The design in the room was slightly old and could be modernised in the future. The headboard on the bed was creaky and loose. TV could also be bigger and have more modern services considering the property is aimed at long term stays. The room also wasn’t soundproofed and noise from the corridor/room above was easily heard numerous times. The location on the property is good for exploring downtown and the surrounding areas.

I found the Residence Inn on Tripadvisor while scrambling to make arrangements to get to and stay in Downtown Vancouver when my wife was Medivaced there for emergency surgery. It was a lucky find. When I told the staff I might need to extend my stay, and told them why, I was treated like family. They were helpful in many ways, and the combination of personal concern and professional competence made a difficult situation much easier to navigate, My studio room had two queen beds, and was extremely spacious. The kitchen, with full refrigerator and freezer and a two burner range, made it unnecessary for me to eat out, and the generous and varied included buffet breakfast meant I could get a quick start on the way to the hospital in the morning. The room was well set up to do business, with two phones, a spacious desk with electronic outlets, and a large safe. When my wife was released after surgery, the laminate floor and the open space were ideal for her to exercise using a walker. The bathroom was well-appointed, with ample towels and supplies. If you're looking for something that's more of a studio apartment than a simple hotel room, especially for a longer stay, the Residence Inn and its great staff would be hard to beat.

Good sized room with two double beds and kitchen area. Breakfast was average, but enough choice. Pool and hot tub were a nice addition after a long day walking round Vancouver city. Location was central and walkable to all areas including Stanley park, and bus station.

Nice Hotel in a very walkable area of downtown, spent 4 nights here before a cruise, Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and attentive. Breakfast is included, during our stay a large construction project was going on across the street, good news is that we didn't hear anything from the construction site. Would stay here again next time we are in vancouver.

Very pleasant large room with kitchenette and full refrigerator. Good location. Excellent complimentary breakfast buffet, with variations each day. Many great restaurants in neighbourhood, and a short ferry ride to Granville Island Market.

We only stayed here for 2 nights before a road trip but this would’ve been a great hotel for longer stays. The rooms were massive and had a fridge, microwave, kettle with coffee/tea and also a huge tv with Netflix etc which was all very useful. We got breakfast included which had cereal, bagels, toast and spreads, yoghurts, sausages, scrambled egg and some fruit like bananas and apples every day. There was also a coffee/tea station with takeaway cups where you could take away hot drinks. We made some hot chocolates and added whipped cream to them which was great to take away for a cold morning. We never used it but the hotel also had a pool and small gym available. Location wise it’s in a great place. There’s a 7/11 located just over the road for things like bottled water or some small snacks. We got off the sky train and walked 10 minutes to the hotel although it was slightly uphill which isn’t great with suitcases. It was also within walking distance of GasTown and the ferries which take you over to Granville Island. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and it was a great base to explore Vancouver.

A very mixed experience. Front desk staff was unhelpful. Lobby is tiny. Seems to attract lots of families with children. Noisy construction next door. Nice large room (skyline view) but thin walls to next door rooms and from above (scrapping noise). Breakfast had some OK choices but scrambled eggs were not edible. 7/11 across the street has unhoused people in front.

Unfortunately I just didn’t feel appreciated nor did I feel valued. It was kind of a hassle to get everything set for my trip and I mentioned I was celebrating my birthday. No one cared.. said anything.. I couldn’t even get a late checkout. Maybe I’ll be treated better at another Marriott in Vancouver.

We were, not to put too fine a point on it, desperate. Late evening and our booked accommodation turned out to be a scam! Residence Inn was across the street and the incredibly helpful staff on reception found a room for us for the night. A large and comfortable room with two queen beds, a kitchenette, and an ensuite suited the needs of three tired, adult travellers. So much so that the next day we extended our stay for eight further nights. The original receptionist told me that others had been caught in the same scam and advised me to go to the police. Breakfast is included for all guests and the menu varies each morning through a cycle. The food was as good as any other similar establishment. Housekeeping was available every other day. The hotel is good for seeing all of the sites and the reception staff were most helpful in arranging visits and suggestions of where to go. We would stay there again.
