The lobby is quite nice which is a bit misleading since the rest of the hotel is in need of a facelift. There are 2 section, as other reviewers have pointed out -- a newer one and a shabby one so make sure if you book here you ask for the new section. The room I had was in the... more

The plaque in the lobby says this is a 3-1/2 star hotel. That must be based on its best rooms. I wouldn't rate it so highly, given the inconsistency of the rooms. We stayed here for two nights based on a previous stay by my wife. She stayed in a room in the new section which was spacious and pleasant.... more

We stayed for one night on our way south. The price was not too bad, $123 including tax. It was quieter than one would expect, being right on the hwy. Front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful, and efficient. The bedroom was not cramped, it was clean, the beds were fairly comfortable. The internet connected easily. My only criticisms... more

Our family of five stayed here for 5 days while visiting family in PG. As usual, most rooms have two beds - these were only doubles - Queens are nicer for sharing. We were provided with a foamy for the youngest (age 4). A cot would have been nicer, but the foamy was better than nothing. Our small dog was... more

I stayed at this dive from March 2nd to March 10th on business. My room was up a bunch of stairs and my door was on the outside of the building, which meant every person coming and going from both sides of my room as well as the three below me slamed there door at all hours of the night.... more

The hotel structure itself is fine, albeit overpriced. However, I was slated to stay there two nights for work, and as I arrived there for the second night's stay, I arrived to find that they had checked me out of my room and had placed all of my equipment and personal belongings into the lost and found!! They then proceeded... more

We had a one night stop-off here. The only reason I booked the Sandman was because my husband got it confused with another hotel that he had stayed in for business (another chain). We won't be making that mistake again! The room was $105 for the night (CAA rate), plus taxes, which I thought was quite pricey for what we... more

We recently finished a tour of BC and the Rockies of Canada. During our trip we had to stop over one night at Prince George while continuing our VIA Rail journey to Jasper from Prince Rupert,BC. We decided to book a night at the Sandman Inn and Suites in Prince George. The hotel is positioned on the outskirts of the... more

When we checked in we specifically asked for a quiet room. At no time were we advised that there was a large dog near our room. Just as we were falling asleep; the barking started! When I phoned the front desk a very cheerful clerk advised me that yes indeed they did allow pets. Just a suggestion - advise customers... more

We had the pleasure of staying at the Sandman Inn And Suites for two weeks, and had a gorgeous suite with kitchenette and separate bedroom. I found the hotel exceptional and would definitely stay there again. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wishes comfort, cleanliness and all of the amenities that you could ask for, like an indoor... more
