Lobby was freezing cold. Desk Agent had space heaters set up around her to keep her warm. Our room was freezing cold and the bathroom was a disgusting, dirty, moldy room with an unusable shower. We were told that after 9pm if we needed anything we needed to dial 0 and talk to onsite management. All that happened when we... More

Don't ever stay at this hotel. They rip you off huge.. we were told we were not being charged for a terrible night's stay with no air conditioning, smelly room, old and deteriorating.. I was sickened by this place. Then the charges on my credit card stayed, $140 for a horrifying experience, I asked them to reverse this and they... More

It was an old building. Scary, the reception area closed at 9 pm. We were the only people in that huge motel and we did not know that until early the next morning. The 2nd day, we were still the only customers there. They are renovating so the building are very smell of paint. Our room was the last room... More

Don't be fooled by the fancy new name, Waterfront Suites and Marina. The place is a mess. We'll go back to the downtown hotels and B & Bs where we were warmly welcomed and thoughtfully cared for. The friendliness that makes Nanaimo special is not in evidence here. The treatment we received was shocking. On arrival, our credit card was... More

For the last two years, I've spent a week with a group of divers in Nanaimo. The Moby Dick is the only place for us. The rooms are very large - lots of place for the gear. We can even put on all the gear and just walk to the boat. The decor is a little dated, but think of it... More

The shipyard is located literally in 10 meters from the hotel. It produces strong industrial noise from 7am to about 10pm. Very disturbing. It is impossible to get any rest in the hotel during the day. Other than that, the hotel is OK. Rooms are big and clean enough. More

Overlooks marina and channel room is OK but dated. Shower curtain stunk but staff said smelled fine (not changed). No welcome on check-in not that we expect red carpet but not even a HI, check out was the same, the phone was more important, just leave key already on card. Stayed in Buccaneer down street for next 5 nights, highly... More

This lodge is located right next to the sea and offers good service! On top of that, the rate for this lodge is very reasonable and also provides other service included in the rate (such as outdoor barbeque). You can also choose kayakking and fishing optionally. If you are looking for a good price for huge rooms with other activities... More
