The great service started even before we got to the Copper Kettle when Maurice picked up my girlfriend and me from the ferry and drove us to the house. There, we found a clean, cozy home that was a great place to spend a few days relaxing. But even better than the room were Maurice and Fiona as hosts -... More

Our one night stay at The Copper Kettle, chosen to be near the ferry, was short but very sweet. We had a warm welcome from our hosts, a comfortable room to sleep in, and an excellent breakfast. The fruit salad with all the hidden extras was a real treat. In fact we were so enjoying our after breakfast chat with... More

I stayed at the Copper Kettle for two nights last week as I was visiting Nanaimo for the first time. I chose to stay at this particular B&B as the reviews on Trip Advisor were so good. I certainly wasn’t disappointed! The owners Fiona and Maurice are so friendly and welcoming, The room was spotless and very comfortable and breakfast... More

After almost two weeks of planes, trains and automobiles (not to mention several nights on the Alaska and BC ferries), the Copper Kettle and Maurice (pronounced 'Morris') and Fiona were just what the doctor ordered. We were able to slow down from waking up each morning and racing to meet one more time schedule or another! After walking in the... More

We stayed at the Copper Kettle for one night as we had to catch the ferry back to the mainland. Maurice and Fiona were the ultimate hosts. Not only was their home immaculate with attention to every detail, but they themselves went out of their way to be gracious and accommodating! After a lovely dinner on the waterfront, we returned... We found ourselves somewhat unexpectedly in Nanaimo for the night, and we were very fortunate that the tourism office steered us toward the Copper Kettle. This is a small B & B, and you really get personal attention from proprietors Fiona and Maurice. They are extremely helpful and friendly. They also cook up a great breakfast to suit your tastes.... This was our best B&B during a three-week trip in Western Canada! Wonderful hosts, delicious breakfasts with omelets, waffles, fresh fruit and very good German bread, very cosy house, large and lovely bedroom with own bathroom... We stayed there for 2 nights and went to Newcastle Island (only a ten-minute walk to the little ferry), had dinner in the city... More

Three of us stayed at the Copper Kettle after 16 days of wilderness kayaking and a long night's ride on the Queen of the Chiliwack ferry from the central coast. Their B&B is super comfortable, clean, welcoming and relaxing. They gave us a great recommendation for dinner and served a fantastic breakfast in time for us to catch the morning... More

Had a relaxing stay in Nanaimo at Copper Kettle. Didn't know there was so much to do and see in Nanaimo until we checked in. Caring couple running the B and B, very knowledgable about the area, and offer a selection of breakfasts. We highly recommend, and we would definately go back. More
