We stayed here in May and were very pleasantly surprised by this well run establishment. We stayed 4 days in a King suite overlooking the lake. (all rooms overlook the lake) and we found this to be a very relaxing place to rest. The location is good for shopping and restaurants. The lake is lovely and a family of Canada... More

I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay at the Inn on Long Lake, and took the time to share your experience with others. The location is very convenient, being essentially in the center of North Nanaimo shopping and business district. The gosling have grown incredibly fast, and are not quite the cute little things they started as, but... More

Very little to complain about at this establishment. Check-in was pleasant (always nice to come into a lobby smelling of fresh cookies on a rainy day!) the "king executive" room was cozy, clean and had a nice view out to the lake. We were facing away from the highway so there was no road noise. There were plenty of pillows... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our Inn. I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. I do realize that the routine of the Housekeepers may seem a little odd from an outsiders viewpoint, but it is set up to best utilize their services, and best serve our guests overall. I do apologize that it... More

Lovely view from room. Quiet and very clean room. Nice furnishings though a bit dated. Comfortable bed. Wonderful for our golden retriever who had fun swimming in the lake. Very friendly reception staff. Would highly recommend. More

I am so pleased to read that you like our coffee! We use a dark roast organic Cafe Rojas, and I love it! It tastes awesome, and is friendly to the rainforest too. We use the same coffee in the breakfast room, and for our in-room coffee makers. I am glad that you enjoy the view as much as I... More

We spent 3 nights at the Inn, the room had a beautiful view of the lake, and traffic noise was not a problem, even with the sliding door open at night. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, the continental breakfast was varied, tasty and perfectly adequate for a morning start, plus very good coffee. The room was spacious and very... More

Just spent 3 nights at the Inn on Long Lake - very quiet room, lovely view and a good breakfast included in the price. We never heard a sound at night, and were surprised to hear the Inn had been almost full up for the whole time we were there. Everything was very clean and comfortable - we especially enjoyed... I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay last week. You are correct, the Inn was full all of last week, as it was both the "Gathering Our Voices" Aboriginal Youth conference was occuring in our beautiful City and it wasSpring Break for BC schools. We certainly always do our best to maintain a quiet and peaceful property,... More

I went for one night to the Inn. For the price, it was very nice. The rooms all have a view on to the lake. The rooms are spacioius and the beds very comfortable. The TV was old and small, but I understand that there will soon be newer, bigger ones in the rooms. The breakfast was nice, with a good... More

I am glad that your stay with us was comfortable. We were more than happy to contact you, and get your property back to you, as we all know how inconvenient it can be forgetting items. It was very fortuitious that we were able to have your book personally delivered to your home town, something we cannot always promise unfortunately. You... More

This motel style inn is located about 10 minutes from the ferry terminal in Nanaimo. While it is conveniently located right next to the main highway, the rooms have serene views across the lake. Our room was clean and nicely updated (except for the tv). It included a small fridge and microwave and the usual coffee maker set up. We... More

Thank you for sharing the experience of your stay with others, I agree completely that the setting is magnificent. My office window looks over the lake, as does every room, and I never tire of the view of Long Lake, and the birds and wildlife we often see. We do realize that the TV's we have are outdated, and have... More

We just spent a night there and were very pleasantly surprised with the location and all the amenities. The complimentary breakfast had a large variety of healthy choices and the staff were very friendly, helpful & accommodating. I am very pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. We try to provide a nice selection for breakfast, from pastries to yogurt and fresh fruit. The "Make Your Own" waffles are immensely popular too, and very tasty. We receive many compliments on our wonderful beds, and I feel that the view from our rooms just can't be... More

I have been here several years on business, however I am going to go somewhere else as I feel the quality of service has become unsatisfactory. On the morning of Jan 25 I was going to take advantage of the sauna and went to the laundry department, however I was simply refused service by the young brunettes. They were rude,... More

I am very upset to hear of the problems that occurred with your recent stay. I am not sure what your request was, and whether there may have been a real reason that they could not help you. We do normally handle guest requests through the Front Desk, as the laundry room is normally a "staff only" area. However, they... More

Went to both the grand and inn on long lake within the same week. Much better value at the inn. The grand had snobby staff, no breakfast, freezing cold pool, pay Internet and nothing to offer. Went down the street and stayed at the inn on long lake. No pool, but a very nice hot tub, free Internet, breakfast, very... More

Thank you for this review. It is seldom that people stay at both hotels in such a short time span, and provide reviews. I am pleased that in such a direct comparison we stack up well against our neighbouring competition. We are aware of, and are working on the updates that the hotel requires ( a never ending process, really).... More
