I just can't figure out why some people like this resort. It is way overpriced. You have to beg for everything. If you want ice you have to ask for it and wait until the front desk fills your bucket. You want a fire in the fireplace you have to ask for the wood and wait until they send someone... more

Great staff. Very relaxing and customer service was very good. Fireplace was great and the food and service at the restaraunt was equally good. Comfortable and relaxing. We stayed at a total of 4 places on our trip and agreed Sunwapta was the one to which we would return. more

The rooms are immaculate, the customer service is amazing. The restaurant was decent, a little pricey for what is offered but like said its decent. I plan to stay there again. more

Very quaint and rustic. Not fancy but very clean. I can't say enough about the staff. They were so friendly and polite and helpful with all our questions. The food was fabulous, both the casual lunch menu and the fine dining at night was a wonderful surprise! more

We decided to stay her on our trip through Jasper National Park and were quite pleased with the little cabins we stayed in. We had Wifi, flat screen TV, comfortable beds and it was very quiet at night. The staff at the desk was most helpful and very cheery. The restaurant was a little pricey but the food is EXCELLENT! more

Our two mature daughters and my husband and I stayed at Sunwapta for one night while on a road trip. We had built in the sights in Jasper and the Athabasca Falls before our arrival; the resort was the perfect location from which to continue our journey the following day. An excellent location in the heart of icefields parkway. Staff very friendly and helpful. Meals very good as was service in the restaurant. A walk to the lower falls is well worth the short walk. We will certainly be returning,hopefully in 2010. more

Located in the "wilderness", the atmosphere surrounding the chalets was awesome. The staff were curtious and very, very friendly. One staff member even came into our room and lit a romantic fire for us. All free of charge. In the morning, we took a hike (easy - for everyone) to the falls and lower falls and the views were great.... more
