Great location but the owner is a complete lowlife. Caught him screaming & degrading his staff which were 2 foreign ladies, right in front of my husband who was waiting to check out. After my husband made a comment that this should issue should be haddled in a different fashion and at a different time. The owner turned went into... more

We stayed in pine bungalows for 4 nights at 150 USD per night in early September. We rented a historic along the river, i believe it was cabin #18. The room had a queen bed, a basic full bath with plenty of hot water, a cute kitchenette (small oven, sink, toaster, small coffee maker...), fire place, small kitchen table w/... more

We booked for two nights and stayed for four - it was a wrench to leave such a tranquil spot, away from the commercialism of the high street. The wandering elk were an unexpected bonus, and the environmentally minded management is a feature to be greatly commended. I wish this haven was on our doorstep instead of 1000s of miles... more

My huband and I recently stayed for 5 nights at Pine Bungalows. We had booked into one of the historic cabins which had a great location just steps from the river. The cabin was rustic but that is what we were expecting. Nice fireplace, kitchenette, queen bed, no TV, no phone. But we did run into a problem that was... more

If you want plush surroundings, plasma TVs and a cocktail bar on site this isn't for you. If you want to wake by the side of the Athabasca river, watch incredible sunsets, barbeque every night and see elk from your cabin, it is. We stayed in many (smarter) hotels in Camnada but nothing could beat this - we loved every... more

We stayed at Pine Bungalows for 3 days (not enough). The location is perfect just a few minutes out of town (bring your supplies) and not far from waking tracks and many wonderful lakes and glaciers. The cabins are comfortable (no TV or radio) and you are right on the Athabasca River looking out to Edith Cavell Mt and Angel... more

We have stayed at Pine Bungalows many times over the past ten years and have loved it every time. The cabins haven't changed since I was a kid and it is refreshing to have basic accommodation without TVs, air conditioning and cheesy 1980's decor. The original cabins are the best and are quaint and Romantic. Pine Bungalows is a welcome... more

Good location if you like remoteness, great for walking and fishing. Bungalows very basic, and have not been touched since my Mum was here 7 years ago. Beds not very comfortable, good just as a base. Site shop lacking in supplies, thank goodness we had gone to the supermarket on our way to the Bungalows. Thought it a shame that... more

We reserved two Heriitage two bedroom cabins, with hide-a-bed couches, for our family's 'Thanksgiving' weekend and my husband and I's 60th birthday celebrations. Our cabins were close to the river and side by side as requested when making the reservation, Cabins 37 and 38, lovely location. We loved the location as it was close to town, yet literally amongst nature,... more

These rustic cabins are in a great location. 5 minutes to town. Less than a minute to the Athabasca river. We saw an elk outside so the wildlife is good there. We had a cabin for 6 people. It had 2 rooms and a fold away bed. Which was broken unfortunately, but we mentioned it at the front desk they... more
