Just spent 3 nights August 12-13-14 there in an Executive King room which cost approx. $300. night including taxes. Grounds of hotel were lovely, staff was attentive and very friendly. We spent four nites there in August which is the high season for the lodge. Here is the summary: Main Lodge .. very warm and comfortable. Overlooks a beautiful private lake. We stayed here for three nights. We were given two lakeside bungalows which connected with each other which was perfect. The location is stunning. The location (a pretty lake) was the only plus side to this awful hotel. The atmosphere was a bit like that holiday camp in Dirty Dancing - enforced merriment for an age before the concept of service existed. Wonderful setting, awful, expensive accommodation. Tired rooms with no air conditioning. Service very spotty. The bar staff appear to be college students who are poorly trained and surly.
