Stayed for a 2-night business trip. Location is right in the middle of downtown and within walking distance to many places. Lobby is a busy place and desk workers are friendly; okay bar/restaurant. Pool room was very nice, with a small exercise room attached. My room was on the 9th floor, and though small, was clean with working amenities. No... More

Adequate is the best way to describe this hotel. Decent location, average rooms. Other than a couple light stains on the carpet, the room/hotel was pretty clean. Moxies restaurant is attached and very good. They have a nice sports bar/lounge on the 2nd floor too. fitness centre is simplistic and a little dated. Pool was decent but hot tub wouldn't... More

Stayed at the Sandman, Calgary for 3 nights on a recent business trip. The hotel was conveniently located close to our client, and relatively inexpensive. Overall the hotel, room and restaurant was a bit run down and tired. One thing to be cautious of is to make sure you are not charged for items other clients bill to their room... More

I flew in for a 2 night stay after having been awake some 40 hours in transit. The staff were fantastic, had me up to my room quickly on the top floor which was spacious and comfortable with a welcome king size bed. In the morning breakfast was downstairs at Moxys Bar and Grill, the waitress who served me was... More

Stayed here in September 2011. Good size comfortable room. Conveniently located for Calgary attractions - easy walking to shops and other venues like Calgary Tower. Used Moxie's restaurant on site for dinner and food good. Tim Horton's across the road for morning coffee and breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful. Car parking on site a very reasonable cost. Would stay here... More

We spent 2 nights here as part of a tour of the Rockies. I'd asked for a smoking room which I did get; the plan being openning the window and smoking out of it but it only openned an inch or two. The bed was large and comfortable. My son had a sofa bed which was large and he was... More

This was the last of four hotels we stayed in during our trip to Canada and have to say it was a little disappointing. The room was small compared to what we had in other areas and there was no fridge, just an ice bucket. I didn't find staff particularly helpful or welcoming and would probably seek alternative accommodation if... More

This was our first stay in Calgary and we would return to this hotel. We drove from the airport and the hotel was easy to find with good underground parking at about $5 per day. The location is excellent, only about 15 minute walk to Calgary Tower. The breakfast at Moxie's was lovely, and we ate their at dinner too;... More

Stayed for three days on business. Very small rooms. The bathroom is pathetically small and the there is no water pressure in the shower. Carpet is worn and dirty. Walls are very thin and I could hear everything on the other sides. The lobby is nice and the staff are good, but the rooms are not acceptable in a city... More

This was the first & final hotel that my wife & myself stayed at during a three week tour of Canada. The premises are about 30 to minutes from the airport. There is an excellent airport shuttle service recommended by the hotel, that we used on three occasions at a cost of $15 each per trip. As mentioned in other... More
