The hotel was as advertised- very rustic with a magnificant location. We arrlved late in the day after a day of golf in Radium Hot Springs. We wanted a light dinner. The only choice was their multi course dinner for $50.00 per person. We asked if there were alternatives, and they said no. As it turned out there were two... more

Ther are many fine properties in the region: Jasper Park Lodge (a Fairmont property), the Post Hotel in Banff (superb food), but if you want the real local character, you have to spend one or two days here. The staff is outstanding and the cuisine is quite good. The rooms, to be sure are "rustic", but not unlcean by any... more

The last $ spend in the lodge was, I am sure, in the XIX Century. All the money goes to make bigger the shop. The restaurant is very expensive 14 $ for a tomate soup which taste like a Cambell'ls one) and of a very low quality, although the price is lower if you stay at the lodge (You havee... more

My wife and I stayed here for two nights in August. I will be upfront and say that we would not generally stay in a place this expensive but I felt we'd only be in the mountains a few times in our lives and splurging a little wouldn't hurt too much. Although made obvious by the title we were not... more

What a setting and a beautiful place with stunning views over the lake even though it was frozen on our arrival. The staff were really very friendly and obliging as they changed our room to one with a bath tub and it still had the view of the lake. The public rooms are very traditional log cabin type of decor,... more

We planned a family getaway to spend some outdoor/quality time with our young children and had an exceptional visit. The lodge location is just stunning and the staff are very helpful and super friendly. We were so relaxed by the end of our stay sipping wine in front of the big fireplace we were sorry we had to leave. We... more

Beautiful Location, One of a kind Hotel - unique, historical. An authentic experience. If you are looking for a homogenous experience go elsewhere but if you are looking for beauty and something real this is the place. The rooms are lovely, peaceful and private , an oasis. The staff are friendly, helpful and really cared about our experience. The food... more

We were returning to Lake Louise after eight days of tandem bicycling on Icefield Pkw. It started raining when we departed Saskatchewan Crossings and by the time we climbed Bow Summit we were cold and wet. Then the snow started. Seeing the sign to Num-ti-jah seemed like a miracle. Spent the afternoon at pool table and playing pinocle. After a wonderful... more

A wonderful and historic building at a great location. Rooms are cozy, staff are friendly, and the restaurant serves good and sometimes unusual food. The site on Bow Lake is spectacular and somewhat remote from mass tourism (a good thing). more

I stayed for 1 night with my wife and mother in 2 rooms. Without asking, they changed our rooms to minimize our stair climbing to better accommodate my mother. A nice touch. The rooms were rustic but clean. The dinner was first rate and reasonably priced. more
