I stayed here on the first night of my last hiking trip. We arrived past midnight and had to pick up the keys at their sister-hotel across the street (they told us about this when we made the reservations over the phone, so it wasn't a surprise/big deal). Since we just needed a place to crash for the night, this... More

Basic doesn't come close to describing this hotel. No A/C in the summer so windows must be left open but this make room not secure. Street level floor, one window had no screen. Noise from traffic, noise from people on the street, noise from people on the floor above. Pillows look like hadn't been changed in years. Sheet were rough... More

We stayed At the Banff Homestead Inn Aug 19-22. The manager of the hotel greeted us with a warm welcome and the smile never left her face despite how silly some of our questions might have been, this being our first time to Banff. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the location just a block from all the... More

Not a fancy hotel by any means, but I'd rather save my money for the shopping! Awesome location-right around the corner from all the shopping and restaurants. Very friendly, helpful staff and a great view of the mountains! No A/C, but it was 30 degrees Celsius during the day and our room was cool from the breeze by evening! I... More

My husband and I stayed at the homestead Inn for 2 nights. The hotel rooms are basic... but have everything you need, tv, coffee maker and fridge. We were highly impressed by the level of customer service. Everyone at the desk made us feel truly welcome, and had plenty of advice and tips on activities around banff. The hotel also... More

I stayed at the Homestead Inn for 2 nights as part of a 10 day tour of the Rockies with Cosmos/Archers. The accommodation was very much 'motel style' and fairly basic but the room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. There was no free wife but you can use the internet in the lobby for a charge of... More

It's a basic hotel with a great value in the expenisve Banff area. Great location very close to downtown or the train and bus station. The room was clean and comfortable, really friendly and helpful front desk staff. They did their best to make me feel home. I'll stay here again if i come back to Banff... More

I have stayed at the Homestead four times over the past ten years or so and congratulate the hotel staff on maintaining a welcoming inn. Since the hotel was sold the rooms have become a little worn, but the staff make up for it and beds and linens are still of good quality, rooms clean. I was impressed with the... More

I actually never write reviews because I am usually content and low key. However I felt I needed to review my Banff experience here. I really loved this places. Nice convenient close to downtown Banff. However we found out there were bed bugs later. My husband had a lot of marks and they were in our clothes too. We stayed... More

Dear Hanneke65 We thank you for your comments about your recent stay. We do take comments about bed bugs extremely seriously and as such had the room completely stripped for a thorough search (as per our own protocol). We are happy to report that in our search we found nothing that indicates bed bugs in the room. Nevertheless, we asked... More

The room was quite reasonable in price (61$ per night) and was pretty big. Both beds were clean and nice, washroom was clean as well. TV had over 40 channels which was kind of cool. The only flipside was that you have a shared "balcony" with about 10 rooms and this balcony is the only access to rooms, which means,... More
