Had my future mother-in-law in town, so wanted something close to the action of Banff Ave (but not too close) that wasn't going to break the bank. The rooms were fairly large and easily accommodated myself, my fiancé and mother-in-law. The main strip of Banff Ave less than a kilometer away (~10 mins). Bathrooms were a little older but in... My husband and I stayed here during the week for four nights at the beginning of June. It wasn't quite tourist season so town and hotels weren't bursting with noise and people. We enjoyed our quiet room and very very friendly service. They have a hottub too which was nice. Nothing fancy though. Basically don't expect anything out of the... More

We had a great experience as a family at Irwin Mountain Inn. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. The rooms have been updated and were spacious. The beds were excellent and the covers were "heavy" (I hate hotels with "light" blankets). The El Toro restaurant serves fantastic food. We will definitely go back...no questions asked. More

Front desk has some issues late at night. Guy got really mad and had us mistaken for other guests. Called us "drunk a$ses" and then apologized profusely. Next time, they should get their facts straight, considering we are a church group visiting majestic Banff. God loves all. More

Let me begin by apologizing for your experience here at the Inn. I am most disappointed that you had the experience you are describing. Our Night Auditors deal with a great many guests and from time to time do experience difficult guests. But the use of profanity and mistaken identity is a problem I take very seriously. This is a... I stayed here with my partner ita a great hotel conveniently located on Banff Avenue only minutes from Downtown Banff, it has a fitness centre, whirlpool and restaurant El Toro which serves canadian cuisine with a Spanish and Mexican influence, food is delicious and resonably priced,Staff are very friendly. My wife and I stayed here for three nights in October. It was very quiet here at that time of the year and I am sure it is much busier during ski season. It is very close to downtown, so you can leave your vehicle in the underground parking and walk almost anywhere in the town. Front desk staff checked... More

Overall it was a great place to stay nice and close to the center, great staff, nice and clean rooms and the restaurant had a great breakfast. My only two complaints are the bathroom is a little small and it can be rather loud when you hear people in the hall ways. Would I go back....probably. More

We travelled in Low Season and found an incredible rate online. When checking in, we were even offered a free upgrade. Very friendly place. Rooms were clean, the beds were comfy. I was sorry that we didn't have a chance to check out the restaurant. Maybe next time! More

Banff is an expensive place to stay so we were very glad to stay here at a good price. We only stayed one night so can't really comment on the service. The front desk person was not busy and pleasant enough but not overly friendly! The rooms were very clean and the linens fresh. Bed was very comfortable. The room... More
