I actually used to work at Buffalo Mountain Lodge back in 2003, it was awesome waking up in Banff everyday! In December 2009 my boyfriend and I travelled back to Banff and stayed here, it was just as I remembered and brought back a lot of memories. Plus, he asked me to marry him!! Which made it just that much... More

We stayed here at new years 2012 for 2 nights for a wedding. Started staying in the lowest room which we didn't find to be that mice for the price but it had a fire place and balcony. The finishishes in the room weren't up to par for the price and were a little out dated: old tv, carpet etc.... More

We arrived in Canada on December 29th and the Buffalo Mountain Lodge was our first stop. The hotel consists of a number of 2 story rustic buildings with a central building for the restaurant. We were give a room at the very end (1011) which was perfect for us because behind the terasse was the forest and we could observe... More

If you are looking for a cozy weekend retreat in the mountains, look no further than Buffalo Mountain Lodge. Although considered still in the Banff townsite, the Lodge feels as though it is a secluded retreat in the middle of the mountains. The rooms are tiny and dimly lit, but gives to the aura of romance. The smell and sound... More

We stayed at Buffalo Mountain Lodge during January 2012 as the first part of our honeymoon. We were in a king lodge room, which was excellent. The fire place just added the extra touch we were looking for, and the welcome card and chocolates we received from the hotel was a great touch. The staff were extremely friendly and happy... More

We stayed at Buffalo Mountain Lodge for 2 nights over Christmas. The lodge is located just outside of the township of Banff on Tunnel Mountain, only a 5 minute drive back into town. We stayed in a premier room, which was a cosy room with natural tones, a king bed, a real open fireplace (set up and ready to be... More

We have just returned from our Canadian vacation and our first top was the Buffalo Mountain Lodge in Banff. We booked a premier room with the king bathroom and we were not disappointed. We arrived on Christmas eve and stayed here for ten nights so really got to test the place out. The main lodge with reception was inviting and... More

Wonderful place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Banff town. Ensure you book a premier room with luxury bathroom and ask for one the second floor to get the high pitch ceiling. Hot tub was never busy in the evening - a full day skiing followed by a hot tub alone was amazing. Water was very hot... More
