My wife and I were on the way to Chatsworth House and happened by the Devonshire Arms. We had been driving for sometime and very hungry. we saw the pub and pulled in for a nice lunch. I had the Bangers and Mash and my wife had the Ploughmans lunch and both were excellent. the ambience was lovely and the... More

Stayed one night in lovely room with separate sitting area, overlooking fron of hotel. Very old hotel with real character, as well as modern furnishings which work well. Dinner was excellent, although breakfast was a little disappointing - the buffet was still being laid out half an hour after the restaurant opened, and my partnet's smoked haddock was a miniscule... My wife and I stayed last Friday and Saturday. We arrived around two and found Beeley village to be a beautiful spot, and only a mile from chatsworth house itself. We were shown to our room above the bar area, which was clean and very stylish....... And not to noisy as my wife is a light sleeper. All good so... More

We spent two nights here during the last week of March, staying in Brookside a few yards from The Devonshire Arms, where we went for our meals. There was a special offer whereby we were given £25 each towards the cost of our evening meals. The village setting is very attractive and convenient for visiting Chatsworth House. We liked the... We had lunch yesterday at The Devonshire, having never been there before. You can't book for lunch so we were glad to get a table straight away although they were busy with Easter visitors to the Peak District. We both had spit roast whole poussin with fat chips, garden salad and garlic mayonaisse (£12.75pp) Our order was taken quickly and... More

We stayed here for 1 night as part of a 4 night Easter break . We used 4 different hotels with prices varying between £51 to £179 for B&B. The Devonshire Arms was by far the most expensive ( £59 dearer than the next most expensive and over £100 dearer than the other two ) but it was definitely not... More

My family and I ate in the restaurant at the Devonshire Arms, Beeley on Easter Saturday and were very impressed with the food and service. We loved the style with the open fires and then the very modern, bright and colourful (even on a dull day) restaurant. We will definitely return in the very near future! More

My family and I ate at devonshire arms last night and it was wonderful. We each had something different from the menu and we were not disappointed. Perfect food, excellent service by all of the staff and a relaxing atmosphere. I cannot wait to go again! The beer and wine were fab too! More

We stayed at the fantastic Fold Farm, 20 yards away from the Devonshire Arms, for 2 nights, and had booked a table for dinner for the second night. We decided to call in for a drink on our first night, a Friday. Most of the tables were occupied with people eating, however there was no one waiting at the bar.... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights in March, prime reason being to visit Chatsworth. Nice little pub in charming village, though I felt it's really more of a restaurant that sells beer than a village local pub per se. Tastefully decorated, log fires, good range of beers, etc. Staff were mostly quite young but all very friendly and efficient.... More
