Plucked from the air after stumbling across it on Google maps - how lucky we got! Fantastic atmosphere, marvellous surroundings, a well-appointed room. The shower was great! Karen could not have been more hospitable and the breakfast was terrific. Nothing was too much trouble. The cottages (we were shown around one) also look terrific. Quiet and relaxing. Cannot recommend too... More

We stayed in The Shippen and had a fabulous time. The kitchen was better stocked than our own and we slept so well in the comfy beds. We were traveling with an 8 month old baby and Karen provided a high chair for our use. We brought our own cot. We used the washer/dryer lots - very handy with a... More

We stayed in the Stables self catering building. Whilst the surroundings are beautiful and the Burton Bradstock area is perfect for coastal walks we've stayed in better holiday cottages. We had an excellent break but... To claim outstanding (see website) I think you have to be well-equipped in the kitchen and make sure that irritants (cardboard-like small towels, faulty dishwasher,... More

We are genuinely puzzled by some aspects of this review. In November 2011 all of our light bulbs were replaced with low energy lights which have a 10 year guarantee. On inspection we have been unable to identify any bulbs not working in the Stables. As well as the main light switches we do have individual switches under each wall... More

We chose to stay in the Dairy Cottage based on the numerous good reviews left by previous visitors. It was everything promised and more. The cottage is authentic, comfortable and well equipped. The combination of Norburton Hall, Burton Bradstock and the Dorset Coast allowed us to relax and chill out. The owners make great hosts and go out of their... More

We were looking for a short country break and happened across Norburton Hall in the quiet village of Burton Bradstock. It turned out to be perfect accommodation in an ideal location. We stayed in the Stables 1, which was ideal for our purposes having plenty of space, a big kitchen and a luxurious bedroom, that was ultra-comfortable. Karen (the owner)... More

Our first stay in The Shippen was very enjoyable. Karen, the owner, was extremely helpful and lovely. The Shippen was very comfortable (the bed especially for a great night's sleep) and of a very high standard with all the mod cons for self catering. I would not hesitate in recommending this to family, friends or anyone else. The surrounding grounds... More

We stayed in one of the holiday cottages for a week with our family (2 children aged 12 and 9). Had a great stay - cottage was clean and comfortable. Lovely setting - walk to the shingle beach, within easy reach of all attractions. More
