A great escape for the $$$ -- driving into Mexico was not a problem at all. The Spa may not be a 5 star resort but nothing is in Rocky Point, thats what makes it the little fishing town that it is. There are no big hotel chains- except for a few timeshares. So value for a family trip in... More

My buddy booked this before we could read the last 2 reviews. We went down with a open mind but it was clear when we pulled up that they are not taking care of the place. The paint was and finish is fading away and filthy in some places. They had one person checking people in during a Labor day... More

My family has made many trips to Rocky Point during the past 15 years, and all of our visits for the past nine years have been spent at the Sonoran Spa Resort. However, we have made our last visit to the Spa. The three bedroom unit we rented for a week this past May was shabby, smelly, infested with cockroaches,... More

Rocky Point is still a great place, great value, beautiful area. The Sonoran Spa is a huge disappointment regarding service, comfort, and value. We booked a specific unit, top floor with enlarged balcony. When we checked in, we were told the unit was "unavailable due to renovation" and were given a different unit, mid level. Now we had to deal... More

What was once such a beautiful resort is rapidly turning into a waste of beachfront property. We stayed in a privately owned condo that had two bedrooms and 2 baths. The condo itself was pretty decent. The resort however, has taken to allowing 'day use' to local families. They also bus in overnighters from who knows where but they have... More

We stayed at the Sonoran Spa many times when we lived in PHX, AZ. Recently we moved and discovered this site. Without going into a ton of details our room was robbed while staying at the Sonoran Spa 2 wedding rings and about $500 cash was taken from our friends and ourselves. Hotel managment did their best to try and... More

Just returned from a week at the Sonoran Spa Resort -- it was outstanding and a great value. I've traveled to Rocky Point many times over the past 30 years, but this was my first time to stay at one of the resorts. We called the number from the Sonora-spa.com web site and got the buy 4, get 2 days... More

We just got back from an 8 day stay at Sonoran Spa W608 and the worst part of the trip was coming home! We have two kids (7 and 5 yrs old) and we all had such a good time! The condo itself was perfectly outfitted (this is the third time we have stayed in it) - it has everything... More

My family and I went to Rocky Point for the weekend, we received a pretty good special. Only paid for 2 nights, and got the 3rd night free. We stayed in rood 106W, ground level with the pool right outside our living room. Awesome view of the ocean! The beach was just a few steps down. Our family brought most... More

My husband and I just spent 4 nights over July 4th weekend at the Sonoran Spa. I was pleasantly surprised. We had a nice 1 bedroom unit (N403) with a gorgeous view of the ocean. It was nicely decorated, very clean, and had a fully stocked kitchen (utensils, cookware, small appliances); not enough forks and no wine bottle opener, though.... More
