It's a building of eccentric historical significance but aside from that, we think it was overpriced compared to other places we have stayed in Mexico. We stayed here for 3 nights although we could have stayed here for ever. Such a perfect place to stay! El Castillo was the home of Don Plutarco and family. His daughter runs it now as a bed and breakfast in Xilitla. I was greeted by her, given a tour of the home, and had a very nice conversation.
