The Resort is lovely and very beautiful...in the public areas. Our room, however, did not look anything like those pictured on the website. The decor of our 2 bedroom villa was dated, worn, and utilitarian. The lving room furniture was particularly old and worn out. We checked in and noticed; shower would not drain right, curtain would not close, sliding screen laying against the outside wall out of it's tracks, smell of a sewer, an old tube TV with the worst cable; could not even watch the football playoffs?!?! 3.5 stars is what I would give Palmar. This resort is an older one; however, if you don't get a room that is overly dusty and moldy smelling, it will make your trip much more enjoyable.
