After many trips to San Ignacio, I finally discovered Casa Leree, tucked just off the Plaza. I only spent one night, and wish I could have stayed longer! Juanita was a wonderful host and Casa Leree was a very comfortable place to stay. I arrived in the early evening, and friends were meeting up with me in the morning. With... More

A comfortable room, close to the town square and historic mission. Juanita, an ex pat American, has gathered a great deal of historic material on the area. There are 3 rooms available, two smaller rooms with a shared bath and a larger room in the house. Don't expect a 4 star US style hotel, this is more like staying at... More

If you are planning a trip to San Ignacio, to see the gray whales, this is the place to stay for a night or more before or after your trip. We stayed there 5 years ago as a couple and returned as a family of 6, including 7 & 9 year old Grandkids. If traveling as a couple, the room... More

Juanita is a wonderful host with an amazing depth of knowledge and love for her adopted community. She has assembled a treasure trove of books, photos, and artifacts to help you understand the natural and human history of this fascinating region. Casa Leree offers a comfortable stay for the weary visitor. I wish we had been able to stay for... More

Headed south or north, it should be your first and last destination before leaving BCS. Casa Leree' lies at the northern end of Municipio de Mulege, along the transpeninsula highway. The little town of San Ignacio has everything a traveler could want or need to have positive Baja experience. If you were seeking hospitality, then you came to the right... More

My apologies to Juanita for not writing this review earlier - I stayed at Casa Leree in February 2010. The casa is a 19th century adobe structure which is updated for all the modern amenities, and which also serves as a town museum as well as the owner's - Juanita - home. Juanita is one of the sweetest and most... More

Casa Leree is a delight, and appears to be unique in Baja. A quiet oasis in the desert. As someone else said, Juanita is wonderfully helpful without being at all overbearing. The room in the main house is probably the nicest of the 3. The other 2 are very nice, although voices carry from one room to the adjoining room.... More

A sweet and lovely spot in, as someone else said, a dusty little town. The gem of Casa Leree is Juanita. She is warm and deeply knowledgeable about her home and the village. She has done a great deal of historical research about the town and area, whihc is written up into a book and placed at each bedside table... More

My wife and I stayed at Casa Leree in 2005 and had a great experience, San Ignacio is a wonderful town. It has the beautiful mission and perfect town square, There is often something happening in the square at night maybe a volleyball game or music. Or just kids and dogs chasing footballs. Juanita is a great host so when... More

We arrived late in the evening to Casa Leree as we drove from Loreto that day. Juanita greeted us and showed us our room right away and was very welcoming without being overbearing. The garden is full of wonderful discoveries from the surrounding areas, including cowboy spurs hanging from trees and local craft. There is one bathroom to share for... More
