Today is my last day of a four day stay at Susurro. Like other reviewers, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Robert was a warm, gracious host. The breakfast that both he and Lola prepared were delicious!!! Pictures from his website accurately depict this B & B. I stayed in Musicos, and it was everything and more that I would... More

There isn't anything we would change about our stay at Susurro. My husband and I were greeted by Robert Waters, the gracious owner and host of Susurro. Our room, one of four offered, was spacious, comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. We appreciated that the TV was hidden behind a painting since we didn't feel the need to watch it. The... More

My husband and I returned to San Miguel de Allende, for the second time in 7 years to observe the "Semana Santa" celebrations this April, 2011. We immediately contacted Robert Waters to make sure that we could stay once again at "Susurro", which had been our Mexican "home away from home" during our last visit in November, 2004. Our stay... Robert Waters has created a gem in San Miguel de Allende: 4 unique rooms set in his private hacienda. Each accomodation feels very private; 3 have terraces, and there is a beautiful roof garden for all. Additionally there is a lovely living room and 2 separate courtyard garden areas for sitting. The quiet sound of falling water from the fountain... More

We stayed at the Susurro for three days this winter. Our group included myself, husband and two adult children. Before we arrived we had contact with the owner Robert Walters who extended himself in terms of arranging transportation to and from. His attention to details continued. Each room was beautifully and comfortably furnished with access to the beautiful outside gardens.... More

Susurro, inexplicably, seems off the radar of a number of the major guidebooks. I have stayed in B&Bs and small inns around the world for over 30 years. Without doubt, Susurro is one of the best I ever have enjoyed. Robert, the owner, has worked hard to create a lodging experience that surpasses the competition. The inn is centrally located... More

A friend and I stayed in Las Pinas room for 9 nights and we weren't really ready to leave. We had the room made up in twin beds and it was very comfortable.....large room, lovely private patio, fireplace, comfy chair, roomy bath and great beds. The house looks like an old Mexican villa even though it was just restored a... More

A lovely, charming B & B. The architecture is a work of art at his small yet roomy B & B. The breakfasts are satisfying. Robert the host is gracious, sophisticated and delightful to chat with. The location of this B & B is wonderful for walking the streets of San Miguel. Mara Fisher, Miami Florida More

When you arrive at Susurro, Zeke, the dog, and Charlie, the cat, welcome you at the door. Your room is spacious and furnished tastefully and very traditionally and the staff makes you feel right at home. Any needs you may have are easily taken care of and this, combined with the quaint, colonial feel of San Miguel, makes this a... More
