“Old, Creepy & FANTASTIC!”

This place is amazing. It has everything you would want from a Castle hotel:old yet comfortable, decaying but full of charm. The staff are wonderful and personally escort you to your rooms. The landscape and views are breathtaking and the horses are friendly, especially if you sneak them some wild dandelion. I wanted a castle stay and I got it.... More

“Nice, pricey, small rooms”

I found the room quite small and the furniture was too bulky and didn't fit properly. I found we were constantly moving the chair to see ourselves in the mirror, or the table had to be moved to allow us to use the ironing board we got from reception. A fabulous Location and a great cosy hotel, with exceptional friendly staff. Food was of the highest standard, and service without fault . Now the negative stuff, beds need an upgrade and bathroom could have been cleaner.
