This hotel has a recently renovated wing with AC rooms (n.b., there is typically no electricity in Chanderi from the time you wake up until 12pm when it sometimes comes on for a short time, then goes off again, then usually returns from 3pm-5pm and goes off again until 8pm). The rooms are small but adequate and have private bathrooms. You can order meals from the hotel. They will give you a breakfast or dinner of their choosing. The (vegetarian) food is usually good, but no lunch is served. As there are no proper restaurants in town, if you are looking for lunch and staying at Shri Kunj, you will be eating snack food (e.g., chips, biscuits) or street food (e.g., samosas, which are not always freshest). The staff (a handful of teenage boys) at the hotel is not particularly well trained. They tend to walk right into your room without knocking and waiting, so be sure to lock from the inside if you want to ensure privacy. They also tend to ask inappropriate/annoying questions, etc...
