Raffa & his crew created a wonderful familiar hostel with a mystical garden and simple yet charming and clean rooms. Hamacs and stools invite to relax in the garden. Bikes are available for rent and free wifi allows communication with your folks around the world. We'll stay there again next time we are in Tulum More

This hostel is certainly one of the best hostels I've stayed at in my life.  The rooms are beautiful and there are no bunk beds in the dorms. The garden and the decoration of the common areas are fantastic. It's really special.  For breakfast they give you the ingredients, fruit, bread, eggs, coffee, jam, etc and you make it yourself.... Beautiful garden, very limited fridge space, but a nightmare of the dormitory bedbugs!!! I woke up at 2 a.m. on 23 February 2012 after being biten. The wall and parts of my body were full of huge adult bedbugs, which I have never seen in this amount. I pressed about 7 against the wall instantly (blood markings each time), and... More

Nice place with a beautiful (especially with all the lights in the evening) garden. Frida is a dog that lives there:) Lots of young travelers, this place is perfect for backpackers. Rooms are a little raw (but I guess they are kept in local style, I noticed most houses don't have carpets and much furniture), but there is a hammock... More

This place is a little heaven in Tulum. A bit away from the center but it really worth it. Staff is great, helpful and pleasant. Beds are really nice - no bunks bed, real big confortable mattress and clean/not used sheets. Breakfast is a good experience as well, you cook whatever you want from the fresh eggs/vegetables offered. The atmosphear... More

We just returned from 3 weeks in Tulum. It was our first time on Mexico's east coast and we loved it! I had chosen this great little place after reading so many wonderful reviews, and - wonderful it is, a little gem in the world of inns and hostels! We stayed in one of the apartments, in Diego Riviera, and... More

Very clean and beautiful hostel. I stayed in the dorm for 200 pesos, a serve yourself breakfast included. Many young travelers from all over. Very nice and helpful owner. And of course the resident hosts, Frida and Coco (dog and cat) were oh so friendly. More

Have never been any hostel like El Jardin de Frida. We stayed in a six bed dorm. The beds were very comfortable, appropriately firm, and clean. The washroom is in the dorm room and we took showers in a hot water. Breakfast? It was absolutely nice in a very comfortable environment. The crews? They are very kind and helpful. And... More

As great choice if you don't want to spend a lot of money to stay on the beach. Free bike use, wifi, fridge, kitchen and terrific hang out areas helped make my stay very enjoyable. The staff is friendly and helpful, the included breakfast is large and varies from day to day (coffee/tea, fruit plate + some type of egg).... More

This place had it all! The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious! The price was great and they worked with us on the rate when we wanted to stay longer. The garden was very beautiful and Frida the dog greets you every morning! We biked every day from the hotel to the beach each day about 20 mins on a... More
