We stayed in one of the two bottom rooms with an beautiful ocean view. The room contains everything you need, which is not much really! It is a hard and comfortable bed, a large shower and a small toilet. The small fridge kept our beer and water cool, and the safe our passports and wedding rings..well safe. The electricity worked... My wife booked this hotel for the last two days of our 10 day Rivera Maya trip. We had bounced around the coast after we flew into Cancun. I had told my wife she should have cancelled this place - and I now take that back. The place is EXACTLY as advertised. A small private set of rooms right on... More

We enjoyed our two nights in the tiny little jungle cabana (selvamar) at Azucar but I think we may have gotten fed up with the shower pressure and water temperature issues if we had stayed there all week. I didn't realize the bathroom would be so rustic based on the photos but it was the equivalent of that at a... More

We loved this quiet, clean hotel. True, it is the exact opposite of an all-inclusive resort. The managers are seldom about, the internet is iffy and the electricity is more so, and you only have a 50-50 chance at a warm shower... but the location is beautiful and secluded and as far as you can get from a resort as... For prices lately in Tulum, this place is ok, it is in the beach, has hammock and seats for the guests and nice and cozy balconies looking the ocean, if you choose an ocean suite which I highly recommend. The place is clean and ecofriendly the staff is friendly though often you will not find anyone around, as there is... More

We stayed at coco hotel and posada del sol both of them didn't came close to this hotel. The staff was very helpful ( Marco and Martha) . The room was very clean the maid... More

This has got to be the most beautiful location for a room - literally on the beach - and what a beach! The rooms are really modernly done and very tasteful. The only problem was that the power cut out a few times when we were there: but they eventually fixed it. There is no reception or anything - just... More

Not a good value anymore. We stayed here previously and enjoyed our vacation. However, we noticed a huge difference in quality of upkeep of the cabanas and grounds during our May 2011 stay. Every morning the electricity in our Cabana would turn off for several minutes at a time. Try putting in contact lenses in a dark bathroom with no... More
