It was kind of weird to be on a beautiful beach with a construction crane hanging above. As for noise it was tolerable but if you are a light sleeper you are in for a huge surprise. We have stayed at Playa Palms on two different occasions and will DEFIANTELY be back for a third! We love the rooms, staff, grounds, location...basically everything about it. This hotel doesn't have a bar or restaurant onsite but that allows you to experience more of what Playa has to offer. The rooms each have a mini fridge, microwave and toaster... more
