We always fly into Cancun, taxi to Playa, then rent a car the next day to tour around in. We have been looking for a decent, inexpensive hotel for our first night in Mexico and then again for our last night in Mexico. We found the perfect hotel here............I would suggest a longer stay for those that like the hustle... more

We only stayed in this hotel for one night before travelling over to Cozumel. The hotel proved to be in a good location for us. It was a few minutes walk from the beach and the ferry terminal. There is also parking in the street, which is great if you have a hire car - although it is pretty busy.... more

I have stayed at this hotel twice in the last 3-4 years. It used to be very inexpensive but they have steadily raised their rates. I just got an email quote from them for usd 70 per night. This might seem cheap but their location is not the greatest. They are on a side street about two blocks from the... more

We stayed here in January of 2007 for a week in a suite, but left 2 days early (w/o a refund) due to extreme issues with service and upkeep. Many of the issues were suite specific, but the lack of responsiveness to concerns could affect anyone staying there who enountered a problem. The courtyard is pretty and the room was... more

We had reservations at another hotel, but when we got there it was "closed for renovations", so much for out confirmation! Anyway, we were just standing there, hot, dark, all of our luggage beside us.... now what!! Up from the beach comes a very tall and helpful gentleman (from the French speaking part of Switzerland, who owns a dive shop,... more

Despite the bulk of traveller reviews. I found this hotel nothing to write home about. First off, the hotel never responded to my email reservation request (done through the hotel's website). So I had a friend who speaks Spanish call for me to confirm the reservation. The room was nice enough, spacious and clean. But I didn't care for the... more

I stayed here in July for a week with three friends. The rooms are, as advertised by the hotel small, but they insisted four of us would fit in their master suite. Yet, on arrival we were cramped into the room like sardines. A staff member, before we had even entered the room, stereotypically attacked us warning us not to... more

My wife, son and I stayed here for five nights as part of a scuba diving holiday in Mexico. It was, by far, the least expensive hotel that we stayed at while in Mexico but all of us were of the opinion that, overall, it was the best. The location is excellent - a few blocks from the beach and... more

This is a really nice and quiet place to stay in Playa. The courtyard is a lush jungle full of trees. Play is a great place if you're looking for sopping, nice restaruants and night life, but it's growing exponentially and definitely not the place to go if you're looking for a genuine travel experience. more

We stayed for 5 nights and loved every minute. The rooms are immaculate and very roomy. The grounds are almost jungle like. The front office was so friendly and informative. Carlos and Rosario were fun and helpful. They arranged a car rental for us that dropped off and picked up the car at the hotel. We loved being so close... more
