We stayed seven nights in the presidential suite #205. Five days without hot water. We did get a price reduction. There is a problem with the hot water in Room 205. Since this was the most expensive room in the hotel, it was a surprise with the lack of hot water. They tried to fix it after four days, it... More

My boyfriend and I just got back from a week at the Piedra de Aqua Hotel and we had an amazing time. The city is beautiful and the hotel is right downtown! The staff was very helpful, recommending some great restaurants and places to walk around the city. I would highly recommend this to anyone, guaranteed to be a good... More

We just returned from our 3 week stay in Tulum. During this time we also went for visit to Merida and stayed, after I read all the reviews, for 2 nights at Piedra de Agua. We upgraded to the presidential suite 305 and did not regret it in any way!! It was absolutely lovely and well worth it! Price wise... More

Piedra is right in the centre of merida- its got a fantastic location. The rooms were ok- we ended up upgrading ourselves to the presidential suite which was really lovely. The staff were friendly and the food was great- they have a pizza oven. i would stay here again! More

Excellent service. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful! The hotel is well located to the main Plaza, and has a great feel about it. My nine year old son and I booked a basic king room, which was on the first floor. We stayed for 3 nights and to be honest we didn't have any of the... More

I just spent 4 nights at this hotel n Merida. The location 1/2 block from the Cathedral on Calle 60 is perfect. I could walk everywhere particularly to Sorbeteria Colon on the Plaza Grande which was addictive. I liked the design of the courtyard and the outdoor bar and restaurant. The view of the Cathedral's towers lit at night is... More

On January 2008 I wrote a review about this place. giving it one star for the rude treatment and the poor service experienced during my frequent visits. Now, the place while retaining all of the special features making it without exaggerating the best place in Merida because of his location and decor has changed for the best, with much better... Hotel is lovely and service is great. Best location in Merida. Different from chain hotels in Merida, Piedra de Agua respects and preserves the city original architecture. I got this really tiny room (air-plane size bathroom) but I loved it because I was on my own. Couples should check room size before booking. Totally recommend the hotel and the city.... More

We absolutely loved the peaceful back courtyard which one would never know unless one walks all the way into the hotel. My boys spent an afternoon in one of the hammocks reading net to the pool and drinking hot chocolate. Very modern restaurant and bar. After this we managed to get one night at the hotel. the rooms were very... More
