We arrived Sunday afternoon, and the streets near the historic downtown 1-2 blocks south of the hotel were blocked. Police explained how to get to the hotel no problem. Spent 4 wonderful days at Balam. Great location, clean, cool rooms, wonderful courtyard to have breakfast in. Small but lovely pool. Enjoyed the charm and elegance of the city and the hotel very much. more
