We stayed at Del Gobernador for two nights in December. It's close to the historical center of Merida and a very short walk to see the sights. The hotel itself is basic, but very clean, and the staff is warm and helpful. The room and bathroom were spacious, and the much-needed air conditioner worked perfectly. We appreciated having reliable Wi-Fi... More

We stayed here on New Year's Eve and were impressed with the location and cleanliness of the property, and friendliness of the staff. Our room with two double beds was spacious with a desk, vanity outside the bathroom and a large shower stall in the bath. Check-in was very smooth and the bellman carried our overnight bag up the two... More

I have been there for two nights, I have just used the rooms, the pool, and safes that are available at the reception, so i cannot talk about the other services. I have no complains, the rooms were clean and spacious, it felt great to dive in the pool after a long day exploring the pyramids. The process of putting... More

Stayed here as part of our Yucatan tour, we had no say in the choice of hotel. Rooms were quite pleasant however, the downside was that there was no outside window, the window looked out on to the corridor so you had to keep the curtains closed or be on display the whole time. The plus side to this was... More

I chose this hotel for convenient location to center town plaza and rate. Looked ok on internet for a middle of the road hotel. Price seemed right. I booked an "Executive" room which was a bit more $$ than a standard room and on arrival, was assigned a room just barely big enough for the 2 double beds and a... More

For Pete's sake, this is Mexico. If you want a great American style room, stay in the USA. If you want a good clean, middle of the road Mexican hotel with a lot of flavor. Staff is super friendly and will try to get you whatever you need. Restaurant in the hotel is absolutely wonderful; great local food, great service,... More

We thought this was a great hotel, a 7-minute walk to the very centre of Merida. The staff were all so helpful and friendly, the restaurant was open from 7.30 a.m. to 10.30 p.m. which meant you could arrive late from a day trip and still get a good meal. The breakfast buffet was all delicious, too. The rooms were... More

Members of our tour group faced one immediate disappointment when we arrived here after a very long day of travel from the States. We found there were no elevators, and some of the most exhausted among us had rooms on the third floor. Then just to mention a few of the other negatives up front: 1) The hotel caters to... More

We were in Cancun, staying at the Royal Sands but my brother in law was at the Arenas Holiday Inn. His hotel evacuated all guests and his flight was scheduled to take off Tuesday, so we thought great. Let's go to Merida, see Chichen Itza on the way. That worked out great but when we got to the hotel in... More
