The Hyatt of Merida is a great place to start a trip to this area - located very close to the center but still quiet and restful. Their bedding, mattresses and bedrooms are among the most comfortable in the downtown area. Sometimes we go just for the breakfast buffet, with wide assortment of Mexican and European specialities, fruits, pastries and... More

We spent our vacations there during the month of December, when the city is very busy and the hotels are full. The attention that we received was very good and all the problems were solved immediately. The bed was very confortable, the room was very nice and clean. The location is close to Paseo de Montejo. The avenue has so... More

The Hyatt Regency was an outstanding hotel. The staff was attentive, the room spacious and comfortable and the location was ideal for my business purpose of visiting the US Consulate. Merida is really off of the normal tourist track, but offers a glimpse of colonial Mexico. The cathedral is a great piece of architecture with an interesting background story. More

After a disaster of a trip getting to Merida, we finally arrived around 6:30 pm on New Years Eve. Avoid the town of Piste at all costs. We got "shook down" by the police and were delayed for 3 hours until we paid $400 pesos to a lady that said we "hit" her scooter. After the rental car represenative showed... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in December. The hotel is clean and has a good selection for breakfast. We had rooms in the Regency Club so we got a good view of the city. Also, being in the Regency club entitled us to free apptizers and drinks every evening, and the breakfast was included with the package. Overall, this... More

Just came back from Merida - a magnificent city on the Yucatan peninsula. A friend recommended the Hyatt and this is why we stayed there. Location is great, you are one road off the Paseo Montejo. Main lobby has little charme. Club floor accommodation does not even get close to the club floor rooms you are thinking of when booking... More

We were evacuated here from the Cancun area because of a potential hurricane. It would never be our choice of hotel. The hotel is very impersonal, nothing warm or inviting about it. It has a pleasant outdoor pool on the third floor, but neither the pool nor the hot tub is heated and when we were there in October, they... More

Dear Madam, Thank you very much for taking the time to comment on your most recent stay here with us in Merida. I am disappointed to hear that you were not able to enjoy the pool due to the weather and the water being too cold for you. We do our best to maintain the temperature at a comfortable level... More

After staying at guest houses and small hotels, we craved something with a view so we booked atop the tallest building in town. Paying a premium for one of the top floors, the executive level, was totally worth it, because it meant free wifi, generous continental breakfast, and evening drinks and more food -- an array of savory and sweet... Dear Sir, Thank you for taking the time to comment about your recent stay with us at the Hyatt Regency Merida. I am disappointed to hear of the various challenges you had with the internet access and some items not functioning as well as they should in the room. We have had a look at the room itself and used... More

The Hyatt had all the usuals: most comfortable king sized bed you can ask for, clean room, reliable hot water and air conditioning, etc. Great location to explore Merida. This city was the highlight of the six cities where we stayed in the Yucatan. Hyatt is right across from Paseo Montejo and a short walk to some great restaurants. There... More

We stayed at the Merida Hyatt Regency for 6 nights. The first five nights we used points as my spouse is a 'gold' member and the 6th night we paid for.The hotel was immaculate. The cleaning staff does and outstanding job on rooms as well as public spaces. However I did not find the reception staff very friendly and the... More
