My husband and I visited Merida for the first time and lucky for us we stayed at La Casa Lorenzo! Larry, the owner, was the BEST host! He went out of his way to help us with everything we needed. He even showed us the town and made the BEST sour orange margaritas! Our room was perfectly kept and the... More

B & B accomodations always offer unique opportunities to be up front/close to your host. Larry is accomodating, outspoken and opinionated (see his video on his web site) and since we really like those qualities, we enjoyed our stay. We felt at home very quickly. The "rules of the house" were few and quite reasonable. Larry is delighted to share... More

The secret of a good B&B is it's host and Larry is a wonderful host. Loved setting at the bar in the back close to the pool while having a margarita. Absolutely recommended. We will be back.Good location too. More

We took a chance. 5 weeks at one location! Lucky for us it was La Casa Lorenzo. Our host, Larry, did everything possible to make our stay memorable. Comfortable beds, great showers, interesting breakfasts, and tremendous hospitality, it had it all. La Plaza Grande was a fine twenty minute walk away, and Paseo Montejo, the jewel of Merida was only... More

Plush towels, excellent bedding and super confortable beds. The Casa has many traditional elements that make you feel the true Mexican experience that you come to Merida to enjoy. The gardens are lush and inviting with a dip pool ready after the long day in the sun. Larry is an excellent Host who does all possible to make your stay... More

This was a great place to stay and Larry was fantastic and could not have been more helpful. The rooms were lovely - beds so comfortable. Bathroom spotless and showers fab. The children loved the plunge pool and made friends with some American children. Breakfast was great and the kids were looked after. Private and peaceful but opportunities to chat... More

We just returned from a week's stay at Casa Lorenzo and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys staying in a friendly home where guests are treated like family. The location is quiet and convenient to the grand plaza, good restaurants, galleries and museums. Our rooms were comfortable and clean, with good beds, linens and bathroom facilities. The flowers and... More

This was our second time to Merida and really appreciated the great location of La Casa Lorenzo. It was located just close enough, within walking distance, to all the major sites without getting all the traffic noise of the busy Zoocala. We found no matter where we were headed we had quick and easy access and it was always easy... More

Larry (Lorenzo) has created an old school B&B - you are staying in his home and he wants to make sure that as his guest you are enjoying your stay. There's a lovely pool, and a welcome margarita, and Larry has lots of tips. It's great value, and a very convenient location, not far from the Paseo de Montejo. More
