This is a well run, older property with a BEAUTIFUL sandy beach. It's a safe property with a few topless women enjoying the sun on the beach. The staff was very friendly to us because we tip $5 each day to waiters and bartenders for better service. Our trip was a getaway escape during the last of August while parents... More

While in Cozumel my family stayed at the Melia. The beach was the best on the island. The sailing and kayaks were brand new. Golf course was beautiful. All staff were very friendly. Rooms were clean and comfy. We rented a car and drove into town for food. We will go back! More

This review is long overdue as we (two couples, late 40's) travelled to Melia in February of 2011. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay very much. One thing that should be obvious to anyone who has travelled all inclusives before - this is a VERY small resort. Only about 150 rooms, which would translate to roughly 300... More

There were 13 of us including a two year old, we stayed for 5 days and had 5 rooms at the Melia. From the begining, we pulled up to the hotel about 2:00, Checkin was a breeze and for the most...
