We had a great time at the Gran Caribe. We stayed for 2 weeks at the end of November 2009. The hotel was very clean and the food was excellent, fantastic location only a short walk to the shops and bars. The staff couldn't do enough for you. Great hotel... Location is perfect, it is 10mins walk to the centre where all the pubs/clubs are and also plenty of shopping. It's also 10mins walk in the other direction to La Isla shopping mall. We loved our stay at the Real. The thing that makes this place really stand out is the service and staff. We had an absolute blast with the recreation team poolside. we thought this hotel offered a great all inclusive package and the staff and service were brilliant. the only let down on the staff side was the front desk which doesn't have a seperate check in area so it can take a while if you have to wait. the beach was closed when we were there as the government are... more
