On first take, the Melia looks fabulous. The hanging vines all around the spacious foyer really make for a stunning effect. The location is outstanding with a supreme stretch of beach. Great place, wonderful beachfront, incredible service, food okay, waitors and waitresses were so attentive, somewhat humid inside (amazing hanging plants), incredible concierge service. We booked a standard room and asked for a complimentary upgrade. We got it. They gave us a room in the Royal Services pyramid. This was provided just for asking free of charge.
