I was worried about this hotel since our room was in the time share portion - I shouldn't have worried. Clean, spacious, beautiful, excellent service, good entertainment, beach and ocean can't be beat. Spa offered excellent choices and we were not disappointed. We did not purchase all inclusive and were glad we did not because of all the excellent restaurants... More

We stayed at the Gran Melia in Jan 2010. First time staying at an " ALL INCLUSIVE" resort so we didn't know all the little tricks.. Such as getting up at 6am to go and put your towels on the lounge chairs so you would have one during the day. Wish someone had told us. We loved our room and... More

This resort caters mostly to people that want to relax in a luxurious resort with a very laid back feel. The crowd is mostly rich older men with their much younger wives. It's a massive resort but very easy to get around. People that complain about the food are crazy, the food is the best I've had at any resort... More

Stayed here as airline crew and brought my husband along. Asked the front desk staff whether my husband could keep the room for another 3 hours as he was taking a different flight back than I was and was told NO. I was also told that I had to pay an extra charge of $50 for the extra person in... More

We recently stayed at the Gran Melia, Cancun. It is supossed to be "all-inclusive", but didn't feel like it. You have to sign a check for everything, even though the price is zero $. You must give a special card to the pool attendant to receive a towel. If you fail to return this card upon departure you are charged... More

I stayed 4 nights at the Gran Melia Cancun for our annual sales meeting. I found the hotel to be very enjoyable. The staff was courteous and helpful, the hotel is very beautiful and well kept, and the all-inclusive plan was a good value. The convention center also provided a good meeting experience. The hotel is right on the beach... More

We stayed at the Gran Melia Cancun April 10-15, 2011. We've been to Mexico 3 times and have never been disappointed with any of the resorts we've stayed at. The Gran Melia was absolutely beautiful, but there was a few drawbacks. The first room that we were put in was terrible. The patio chairs had rips in the seats and... More

This was our second stay at the Gran Melia this year. Neither my girlfriend nor I were pleased with the fact that although we purchased an expensive all-inclusive week at this hotel – the stay did not quite live up to expectations. The Red Level treatment was sub-par. For instance: - Multiple requests for scented pillows for approximately four of... More

My family just returned from Cancun, and we all agree that this vacation was the best one we have had. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are well maintained and clean. The staff is very helpful and despite reading about the hard sell on time shares, we were only approached once and Christian was very reasonable when we told... More

This was a group trip - first time visit for five - return trip for four. Well unfortunately the weather wasn't very good, so we spent alot of time at the pool bar. Bartenders were great - we tip pretty well - and very good to us. However, we were disappointed that the pool was not heated and freezing cold.... More
