This hotel is for those who enjoy the simple things in life: deserted beaches, good design, and excellent food. On our way from Xalapa to Papantla we wanted to spend some days at Costa Esmeralda. It's easy to take the ADO bus which stops next to a hostel. Although there was no real taxi available a man who was at the bus station took us to hotel Noray, we had to pay him 50 pesos for the service. We... more

We stayed two nights at the Best Western Noray, at the beach in a Gulf coast zone called "Costa Esmeralda" (Emerald Coast), between La Guadalupe and Nautla. The hotel is quite small, with about 10 rooms around a regular sized adult pool and a kiddie pool (both clean and with warm water). The room was cozy, with two full beds... more
