We stayed in this hotel for one night, but we would have liked to stay here a little bit longer. The hotel was an old convent, nowadays it is a original hotel with large rooms. From the balcony there is the most beautiful view on the nice town of Taxco with its white houses, the many white VW taxi´s, the... More

We just loved Taxco, which is a beautiful town with wonderful views. And this hotel didn't disappoint - we had a beautiful spacious room with a balcony, complete with scenic view of the town and hills. OK there were a few little things that weren't great (you have to let the water run for about 10 minutes to get hot,... More

During a 10 day trip to Mexico City, we decided to venture off the beaten path to Taxco. This beautiful little town nestled in the hills. We arrived to Posada de la Mision to find a very empty hotel. The lady at the desk was very nice and upgraded us to a room with a view of the city. It... More

We visited Taxco expecting a charming little village set in the mountains. What we experienced is a tourist trap. "Guides" stop your car at the entrance to the city to give you a map and recommendations for hotels. We were recommended the Posada de la Mision, which had favorable reviews in some of our tourist information books. Later, it appeared... More

We planned to spend the afternoon in Taxco and then get on the bus to go back to Mexico City, but the bus stopped in front of this hotel and we got the idea to spend the night. Of course we got the rack rate just walking in off the street, but we got the most amazing room with a... More

This holiday stay at the Posada was wonderful. Despite a couple of shortcomings, the hotel was very romantic for us. The architecture, the swimming pool, the beautiful birds and the staff we came to know, while often retaining an air of mystery were always good to us. I only wish that our brief stay here was longer. I aim to... More

We were robed , we lost everything , the maid opened our room and stole our wallets, my purse, a portable DVD, my daugther´s Nintendo DS, my husband´s Black Berry , a ring, cash, etc. They don´t have any security boxes or security personnel, the pool is cold water and the rooms are uncomfortable and old. The Manager and the Owner... More

A terrible place. The rooms are moldy and worn down. The badrooms are falling apart. They misled us by saying that breakfast was included at check in and charged us $30 for a horrible little breakfast when we checked out The woman at the front desk needs to find another calling unrelated to customer service. This is the only bad... More

The only good thing about this hotel is the view of Taxco from your room. Everything else is a shame.Maybe twenty years ago it was a nice hotel but now it is so rundown like nothing has been done it to it for ages. Considering the price I paid I felt cheated. More

What a rip-off and total scam at La Posada de La Mision in Taxco. Be careful - lots of hiddens charges and costs. We were quoted $75 a night and were charged that for each person and we ended up paying $300 USD for one night's stay. We had already made a decicion to check out the next day because... More
