We stayed here a week and enjoyed the in room chiminea with plenty of wood for the cold days in March 1-8. Breakfasts were plentiful and the hosts very helpful. It's a good location to explore the city and get just enough exercise walking to town. Lots of hot water one you figure out the valves! Couples should spring for... More

If you are looking for a place in San Cristobal that is quiet and nurturing with an immediate sense of warmth and homeliness, Sol Y Luna could not be more perfect. I was welcomed with big, open arms and made to feel instantly at home and at ease by the wacky Cisco Sol who, after living in San Cristobal for... More

It is impossible to fault this beautiful place to stay and the amazing hospitality shown by Cisco and Danni. Our room set off a stunning courtyard was spotlessly clean with it´s own pottery wood burner and beautifully furnished with pieces of art and textiles. After weeks without a good nights sleep the firm mattress and tranquil setting away was just the... Cisco, Dani and 2 year old Kaila gave us a very warm welcome, a beautiful place to stay, great breakfasts and good tips about San Cristobal and our next destination in Chiapas. More

Upon arriving we were a litle confused. The owner decorated the external walls to resemble a house you might find in a slum. After meeting Cisco, it all made sense. The rest of his place was had a unique decor as well. We appreciated this more as the days went on. Looking back at some of the pictures we took,... More

We had the pleasure of staying at Sol y Luna Bed and breakfast in November 2011.We stayed for 2 nights, departed, and then returned to stay again!! From the moment we stepped in the door we knew we had chosen a winner. Cisco and Dani, owners and hosts, have a wonderful home, big enough to accommodate two separate and private rooms... More

We were only going to stay here for 5 nights but, after a particularly traumatic bus ride from Palenque, it turned into 8 nights and we wished it could have been more. Cisco and Dani erased the bruises of travel with hearty and healthy breakfasts, ensuring that we tried a new exotic fruit each morning. Our room was incredibly quiet,... More

I felt at home, the house is just a delight to stay for a week; wish could have stay longer. Having breakfast with the most delicious coffee and at time with the company of Dany (Cisco's wife) . Cisco (owner), gave me perfect recommendations on where to go and how to get to those places. It worked out all so... More

It was fortunate for me that I found Sol & Luna and hosts Cisco and Dani. First of all, it's a wonderful and welcoming place, adorned with a great variety of art. (Yes, it feels like a small art gallery.) My room was comfortable and well furnished. The location is short walking distance from all the highlights around downtown but... More

Sol y Luna Bed & Breakfast was the perfect place to stay while exploring San Cristobal de las Casas. This little bed and breakfast is located near markets, restaurants and museums, so we easily walked everywhere. We were treated like family by our hosts, making our stay a much more authentic experience. We enjoyed wholesome, beautifully-prepared breakfasts, and a large,... More
