Great staff, including English speaking. Lovely town. Good hotel location. Air conditioned rooms. Covered group setting area. Supermarket & laundry close. Brilliant. Thank you. More

I am happy to recommend CasAntica for anyone considering a safe, beautiful and centrally-located stay in Oaxaca. I have already made my sale "pitch" to everyone I've talked to upon returning last night and am planning on returning with other members of my family. Background: We were two travelers coming in from San Antonio, Texas. We stayed in CasAntica for... More

LOVED this hotel in Downtown Oaxaca. It's 3-4 blocks from all you want to see. A GREAT value. The desk clerks were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good and included in the price. There's a small heated pool. Lots of light, flowers and a fountain. We'll DEFINITELY go back! Ask for a superior room. (We stayed in 508 and 511... More

We stayed here for 4 nights and found it just adequate. If we wanted to, we would probably find much better hotels for less, like our friends did. The hotel itself is beautiful with a pool and garden terrace. Centrally located right next to the Zocalo, it is very accessible. I found 1 receptionists who was particularly helpful and speaks... We had a very dark and small twin room but it seemed to be clean. Probably due to a poor lighting. Could not read a book and could not see any dirt ;). Perfect camouflage. The air-condition was good enough to keep the room freshly aired. Without it the smell of damp might have been unbearable. Our main window was... More

Worst excuse for a hotel manager that I have ever had to deal with, the hotel rooms do not correspond to the pictures and descriptions in hotels.com and tripadvisor. This is not a 4 star hotel, and for the price you can get a much better room and experience at another hotel so don't be mislead by the photos. Did... More

We went there between Christmas and new years. Location was very good, just a walk to centre and all attractions. First we've been given a room in the ground floor between the two patios and with the highest toilet to seat, so we asked to be moved straight away and it all was fine. Service was very friendly, nice looking,... More

Beware if booking a "superior" room in this hotel - when we arrived we were directed to a room with no windows backing onto the pool (I believe this one has been reviewed before with a similar unhappy response). The safe didn't have a lock on it and the room definitely did not have a balcony as advertised. When asking... More

You are close to everything from this hotel: 1.5 blocks to the zócalo, a few blocks from the Alcalá, the main pedestrian street with cute shops, cafes, and restaurants (eat here rather than in the zócalo), and a 5-10 minute walk to most of the markets or colectivo points. We requested a quiet 2nd floor room and got room 203,... More

This nice hotel is located just a short distance off the main walking street and the plaza Zocolo. The staff were so nice and helpful. The rooms were on the small side but clean and well appointed. I would stay here again. More
