The hotel is clean, comfortable and the staff are disconcertingly subservient. Make sure to bring change/small bills for tips! Fiesta Americana is right next to Fiesta Inn (they use the same driveway). Be warned this hotel is miles from everywhere. There are NO public transport links AT ALL. Taxis cost a fortune (not helped by the hotel commission) & take 30 minutes to the nearest metro station. Stayed here in Santa Fe because it was close to most of the events we were attending in Mexico City. This area is a business district but I would rather stay here than many other areas of the city because it is quieter and you get more for your money. Wow! My first time in Mexico City, and I really didn't know what to expect. I arrived at this hotel, and I am greeted by 6 bellman waiting to open my door and take my bags. Unfortunately for me, I checked in late and had to check out the next am. However, not too quick to make some observations and comments. The hotel was opened earlier this year (06) and is top notch. Rooms are excellent, bed comfortable, bathroom great. Service was professional and in both English and Spanish. The restaurant is very good as well.... more
