Very nice hotel and excellent restaurant. At the restaurant, try the champurrado (corn based chocolate drink). It's right in the central plaza and close to everything.

This hotel was recommended by a friend, so we were really looking forward to our stay. We had requested a 2 bed room via internet booking. We were given a room with a king size bed. We insisted on a 2 bed room, and were punished with a room with one tiny window 10 ft up on the wall. There...

We really enjoyed this hotel. Had a large room (tight bathroom) overlooking the plaza. Very romantic to listen to music from your balcony. Had the feel of an older Mexico. Perfect location. Worse thing about room (hotel?), on television, only english speaking channel was FOX news, horrific choice. We drove there and parking was convenient, under hotel.

I had the chance to stay at Posada Santa Fe when we went to Guanajuato during Mexican Independence day. A colleague had booked rooms in advance, and we did not have any trouble in checking in.
The rooms and amenities were basic, and not what you would expect from a rated star hotel. Cleanliness was little wanting, as I saw...

Although we were given an interior room it had a window providing light and air. The room was small but very comfortable. The...

As part of a driving trip with Mexican friends, we stayed 2 nights at Hotel Posada Santa Fe. We had some difficulty finding the hotel but once we got on the right track there were signs which lead us to the rear portal where we found help in parking and unloading. The front of the hotel is on the square...

If I had read the reviews below I never would have stayed here, but we drove into Guanajuato reasonably late and this place looked good from a quick check of the website. We got the cheapest rooms, which had no air conditioning, and were out the back of the hotel. They overlooked a street which turned out to be really...

We stayed four nights here in September 2010, we booked it because it was right on the square, offered a suite for about $1300 pesos per night that had a king bed and a jacuzzi tub. The room was a suite in that it had a couch and chair in a windowless room that was connected to the bedroom, there...
