I enjoyed the hotel a lot but the downtown area is not very well taken care of. I found many people living on the streets and begging for money in this area. There are beautiful churches and historic buildings though. I took great pictures there. I recommend the hotel for business trips. More

We stayed in Guadalajara for 5 days over the Christmas break. Hotel Morales was spotless, beautifully decorated, charming, and interesting. The bathrooms and bedrooms were completely modern, and the 4 plazas around which the hotel was built were typically Mexican with tiles, beautiful rugs, Hispanic furniture, and historic pictures. Stayed one night in December with our kids . The lobby is gorgeous, location is perfect, and food quite good. The gym is brand new and very nice. We stayed in room 117 and it was not great, but the price was reasonable. Still, updating would help a lot. More

Superb service and friendly, helpful staff. Had a great room at the back of the hotel. Room was spacious, clean and very quiet. Do take the side trips, such as Tequila, offered at an extremely reasonable price -- they are excellent.
