The Hotel Morales is a very large hotel and I gather from reviews the rooms vary. We stayed in the older section which has recently been remodeled. The room was lovely and very comfortable. Hotel Morales is within easy walking distance of the Cathedral and other Centro Historico museums, gallerys, and plazas. The hotel can hook you up with various... More

This hotel is a beautiful piece of history that continues to welcome visitors. We stayed here two different times on our most recent trip to Mexico. We had two different rooms, one had only a small window that opened out into an atrium, but it was bright enough. The other had large doors that opened to the street and a... More

The Hotel looks impressive, but once I was in the room I was less impressed. The room had no window to the outside of the building (just to the rather dark atrium with the need to use curtains for some privacy). I was too exhausted to go ask for another room, and the small advantage was that the free internet... More

Very comfortable beds, awesome shower and the inside of the hotel is splendid. We paid 1900 pesos for 3 nights. Beautiful fountain in lobby. Elevator is good. Columns and arches as well as the colours are gorgeous. Front desk staff was remarkable. They provided maps for us to find places we wanted to see. They genuinely wanted your stay to be... More

I enjoyed the hotel a lot but the downtown area is not very well taken care of. I found many people living on the streets and begging for money in this area. There are beautiful churches and historic buildings though. I took great pictures there. I recommend the hotel for business trips. More

I travel once a month to Guadalajara and I've always stayed at this hotel. No luxury, but very interesting classic building with clean and nice rooms. I still don't understand why it's so cheap and so much better than budget chains like Holiday Inn etc... More

We stayed at this historic hotel right in the center of Historic Guadalajara, the hotel was impressive, the service was great, and the price was very reasonable. Tours of Tequila and Lake Chapala can be arranged by the hotel staff, they are inexpensive and very good tours. the hotel is easy to find, and local transit can get you anywhere... More

We stayed in Guadalajara for 5 days over the Christmas break. Hotel Morales was spotless, beautifully decorated, charming, and interesting. The bathrooms and bedrooms were completely modern, and the 4 plazas around which the hotel was built were typically Mexican with tiles, beautiful rugs, Hispanic furniture, and historic pictures. The people working at the hotel were unfailingly courteous and friendly.... More

Stayed one night in December with our kids . The lobby is gorgeous, location is perfect, and food quite good. The gym is brand new and very nice. We stayed in room 117 and it was not great, but the price was reasonable. Still, updating would help a lot. More

Superb service and friendly, helpful staff. Had a great room at the back of the hotel. Room was spacious, clean and very quiet. Do take the side trips, such as Tequila, offered at an extremely reasonable price -- they are excellent. Also take advantage of booking the hotel drivers for side trips to surrounding areas such as Tonala and Tlaquepacque.... More
