The hotel struck me as a little odd at first because it is on the second floor of an old building and all the rooms are spread around a central indoor patio; it was clearly once a huge house. My room was simple but clean and satisfactory. The double doors seemed easy to open, but in reality I didn't have... More

I stayed at Posada Regis 9 nights so I feel like I can give a good review of it. The hotel is on the second floor of the building. There is a sign in front where the stairway from street level is located but it's not the easiest to see. All rooms are on the second floor of the building.... More

I went to Posada Regis for a 5 night stay, the hotel is perfect located in center of Guadalajara, you can go walking everywhere and there are bus stations really near. The staff are nice, and the balcony views are amazing. For the price you are paying, its just really nice to stay there. They don´t have bfast, but common,... More

We hastily booked this hotel as we were leaving for Guadalajara. We were so pleased when we arrived, and our 2 nights here were very pleasant. The building is incredible. The staff were helpful, the rooms were perfectly adequate though a little noisy due to traffic. The only major problem we suffered was that the wifi was intermittent, and we... More

Upon arrival, the ENTIRE lobby floor was being replaced and the staff was much more concerned about that then checking us in and seeing to our room. Once there, the room was fine, but with a mystery stench that we attempted to find the source of to no avail. The bathroom was super-mini and flooded so badly from a shower... More

The good parts: Huge room, free wifi in room, quite clean & comfy, great location, great price, very secure (have to be buzzed in & out). The bad parts: Leaky toilet got water all over the bathroom, desk staff not overly friendly/helpful (not rude or anything, they were both just very blah...in contrast to most people we met in Mexico,... Granted we were there in June when it was 90 degrees outside, but we weren't able to sleep. The fan in the room just didn't cool us off. When we tried to sleep with the windows (doors) open, the traffic was too loud. I wouldn't recommend this place to stay when it is hot in Guadalajara. The room was fun... More

The Posada Regis is a great low cost option that could not be more centrally located in Guadalajara. The staff was friendly and helpful; the rooms and hotel were clean and very nice. Also, you can walk out the door and in about 3 minutes be at the Cathedral in the heart of Guadalajara's Centro district. Try and get a... More

Hotel Posada Regis is an excellent option for travelers to Guadalajara who do not need a five star hotel. The rooms are clean, comfortable but rather dark and plain. The rooms on the street side are noisy, so if you are a light sleeper, ask for one on the other side of the building. The downside to these are that... More

Great quirky old old place...130 years old. Large high ceilinged rooms arranged around a huge interior courtyard. Pleasant place to stay. Rooms on streetside have balconies opening onto busy street below. So can be noisy, but fun to watch the goings on below. Not without its problems. Up a steep steep flight of stairs up which you must lug your... More
